emacs enjoyer here. I don't even open org files any more. Just text in the temporary buffer. If I happen to lose the temp buffer oh well.

Hmm, divers have known the dolphin kick for years (decades?) as a way to move underwater at speed, but you’re rarely near the surface or the bottom to have effects from the surface interfaces. Interesting.

They have dynamic apnea competitions. It's in the freedive scene not swim/race scene. I'm not sure if turning sideways is popular there.

If people start racing underwater, there will probably lots of blackouts.

every few years, less often now, I see an article that gets me excited about tramp, and I try it and immediately deadlock my whole emacs because the remote shell had an unexpected character in the prompt or something.

Every time I try breathwork (be it box or x-y-z) I feel that the intervals are too long - by the time I finish breathing out my brain goes into panic mode and the next breath is not enough to compensate. I find them the exact opposite of relaxing.

It's supposed to be ratios, not literal seconds. The app should be adjustable for you small lunged people.

Roads are such an apocalyptic blight on the landscape that I'm all for burying as many of them as possible. 200 feet down, 200 billion feet to go.

And that has way more details than this. The only why supplied here is "we forgot" and "AC"
lacrosse_tannin · a year ago
I bet renting has something to do with it too. I can't just start attaching awnings to the outside of this place I don't own. The landlord doesn't care if I'm hot in the summer and cold in the winter. He doesn't pay the AC bill.

Who cares? If someone needs to eat less to get healthy, they can do that and: be miserably hungry or not.

It's like telling people they can't have aspirin during a hangover.

Little did you know at the time that your father was also gambling. His bet was against you. His reward was that you would align to his views.

Had his gamble failed, you would’ve been addicted at a young age to that rush, and his authority on many life matters would’ve been diminished in your young eyes.

I'm a little more concerned about the withholding food from a child because they couldn't throw a ball well enough
