If there were enough vaccines for everyone around the world to get the protection equivalent of 3-shots, and people took them, the pandemic would be over now

This is a very bizarre assertion.

Given that, the vaccinated spread covid, even with no symptoms, vaccination status does not limit spread.

No amount of vaccinated people, will end the pandemic.

Note that, to spread covid, it must be replicating in the body. Therefore, as it is replicating in the vaccinated, it will continue to mutate and evolve.

There will never, ever be an end to the pandemic, due to existing vaccines.

Ever.

Maybe the author means covid becoming endemic instead of pandemic. See for example [1].

Gibraltar surge in covid cases and is cancelling lots of events, but has 100% vaccination rate. No stopping restrictions and cases even with 100% vaccination rate.

Where do you get the information from that they are cancelling lots of events? As far as I can tell they are only giving out guidelines how you should behave if you want to have a party but no rules that prevent any event[0]. Also they only cancelled official events meaning events organized by the government: "Given the exponential rise in the number of cases, the Government, for example, intends to cancel a number of its own functions including official Christmas parties, official receptions and similar gatherings." from [1]

Let's do the math. So how does public health insurance work in Germany?

* There is a base rate of 14.6% from your gross that split between the employer and employee. The split is not important for our calculation as it will come out of the same budget an employer has for one employee I guess.

* Public insurance providers can demand an additional contribution that was on average additional 1.3 percentage points. The highest I could find is 2.5 percentage points extra.

* There is an upper limit. You only have to pay for your first 58050€ ($67564) a year. For everything you earn above that you do not pay more.

* Family members that do not work or do not earn more than 450€ per month are included for free

So that means from the money your employer has available to pay you a maximum of (14.6 + 2.5) * 58050 / 100 = 9927€ ($11556) a year or 827€ ($963) a month.

The background of that pages makes my screen look dirty. Even though I know it's the background every time my eyes move I see new dust on my screen :)

Germany and UK were not even able to get in the ranking of the FTTH Council Europe… They do both not have 1% of all and at least 200.000 households connected to fiber… what a shame
