Der8auer did some similar videos a few years ago, but in English:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eo8nz_niiM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2P8mjWRqpk

The second is especially interesting as it demonstrates Hetzner's unique semi-custom hardware.

He usually does the videos in both german and english

After some work with kubernetes, i must really say, helm is a complexity hell. I'm sure it has much features but many aren't needed but increase the complexity nonetheless.

Also, please fix the "default" helm chart template, it's a nightmare of options and values no beginner understands. Make it basic and simple.

Nowadays i would very much prefer to just use terraform for kubernetes deployments, especially if you use terraform anyway!

I used to put stickers on my work laptop. Then one day I upgraded my laptop, which meant handing over my old one with stickers.

Which meant scrubbing it (there's no reason I'll let whoever receives it to scrub it for me)

Which was an absolute pain.

I don't put stickers on my laptops anymore.

did you manage to clean it up? Sometimes stickers leave permanent discoloration of the case, especially on aluminium Macbooks

It's all fun until you want to sell the machine and the stickers discolored the case. Some stickers adhesive seem to react with the coating on MacBooks and permanently discolor them.

Just be aware of that :)

Boy is this an awesome web page. Suddenly I have the urge to create an html page with ifames, blink, marquee and table tags (for layout of course)
ctm92 · a month ago
Recently had to grab content from a page that was layouted with tables. Just nested tables over tables, not even ids for the elements.

Phones can call 112 without a SIM, so it might work, though I haven't tried it.

I thought this was removed due to abuse taking place with such phones

I know this is satire, but there is actually one and one you actually control. May be useful to remember who said what and where. It can be useful. Just not the way a megacorp implements it.

Here it is [unaffiliated, untested by me, unvetted]: https://github.com/openrecall/openrecall

It's an actual useful feature, it's just the tracking by microsoft that makes it meh.

I also track my activities with ActivityWatch (Open Source, https://activitywatch.net/) to remember missing time entries for billing clients. It's all local, so perfectly fine.

Anyone here using

https://github.com/vitobotta/hetzner-k3s

Or

https://github.com/kube-hetzner/terraform-hcloud-kube-hetzne...

For a K3S cluster? Would love to hear any experience. Thanks!

We are using hetzner-k3s, super solid and easy to use. I love that it also utilizes the Hetzner Cloud Controllers to utilize the native Hetzner load balancers, volumes, network
