Very well in general. As a protein whey is unbeatable on bioavailibity and completion, especially considering cost per kg.

The poster you're replying to was asking about wheat vs rice protein, not whey.

Finally, someone offering a proper Danish keyboard. Denmark, Sweden and Norway have long been stymied with the low-effort that is the Nordic keyboard layout. The problem is if you are not familiar with keyboards, then the labels are supposed to help you, but they don't on the Nordic layouts, because it just show three different keymap's labels on some keys, but you don't know which belong to which.

I know Apple also offers a proper Danish keyboard, and I've seen some modern Thinkpads with proper Danish keyboards.

I normally use a US Intl keyboard, but whenever I see a Danish keyboard, I struggle to find the | key.

Even worse for Icelandic ones. Keychron used to show the Icelandic flag on their Nordic keyboard page, despite that layout not including Icelandic-specific characters (Ð / Þ missing, Ö in the wrong place). I asked them to start including those characters, but now they just removed the flag.

For Framework I went with a blank ISO layout.

Maybe I don't speak English well enough, but I thought that "evidence" and "testimony" were clearly different things. E.g. in a judicial setting, a testimony may need to be backed up by "evidence" - the latter implying "physical", "objective" objects (documents, fingerprints, pictures).
Hinrik · 2 years ago
In the U.K. they even use the term "give evidence" for the act of testifying in court.

My native keyboard layout is Icelandic so I'm not holding my breath. I ordered one with a blank ISO layout.

Seems like a good time to ask this question that has been bugging me forever, since all the HN jet nerds will be drawn to this thread:

Why hasn't anyone made a hybrid car that uses a gasoline-powered turbine generator to charge its batteries instead of a piston engine?

I'd imagine that hooking up such an engine directly to the drivetrain like in a Prius would be difficult, but surely a small turbine with one hell of a muffler running a generator (similar to a natural gas power plant), both running only at their peak efficiency RPMs, would yield a very efficient car that could still use the extant gasoline infrastructure.

I'm sure there are very interesting reasons, either due cost, noise, reliability, or durability, that this idea hasn't taken off, and I'm very interested to hear y'all's thoughts on the subject. Or maybe there has been progress in this area, and I'd love to see some links!

>Why hasn't anyone made a hybrid car that uses a gasoline-powered turbine generator to charge its batteries instead of a piston engine?

The current engine formula (2014-) in Formula 1 racing might be of interest to you.

> During acceleration of a Formula 1-car, the turbo charger is performing at its peak and is spinning at about 100,000 rpm. The MGU-H (Heat) functions at that moment as a generator. This is connected to the turbo charger and converts the energy, generated by the turbo, into electricity; that, in turn, is stored in a battery or sent directly to the MGU-K.

> This MGU-K (Kinetic), connected straight to the crankshaft of the turbo engine, acts as an electric motor that supplies extra power to said engine. This MGU changes into a dynamo, which stores the energy that is released during braking in the battery. This stored energy, can later be used to support the turbo engine during acceleration or overtaking.

The biggest problem with these grants is that it is tax payer money that is then used to build private non open network monopolies.

Easiest solution would be what we have in Switzerland. If you want that government money, the fiber you lay needs to be accessible to any competitor otherwise you aren't getting any of it.

This is the only reason we have 25gbit symmetrical available for only around $70/month [1] because the fiber has to be available for anyone to use.

Recently the largest phone provider here tried to lay p2mp instead of p2p which would result in requiring splitters setting the max speed and features to what they define giving them a competitive advantage over anyone else. Luckily Init7 took them to court and they are now back peddling. Sadly that phone provider wasted an enormous amount of tax payers money and now need to undo the damage they did.

You mean back-pedaling. Peddling is something different.

I'm not sure what you mean by "sound the same", but just by comparing a simple change from major to minor is quite a dramatic change:

Same thing with a more recent pop tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9HZH_P_5qM

There's also a reason that in electronic music A minor is used significantly more: https://www.edmprod.com/beatport-analysis/

It probably has a lot to do with how well that key suits club speakers.

That's because OP is not talking about the differences between scales (major vs minor) but keys (C major vs A major). With equal temperament all keys of the same scale have the exact same intervals between the notes. They are simply shifted up or down by a constant amount. Before equal temperament that was not the case.
