I don't think anyone has the ability to shoot down enough Starlink satellites to make a difference.

Musk's biggest risk in China is the CCP confiscating the Tesla factory in Shanghai.

Not with rockets, but maybe with lasers? What damage can a single one do? Could a country deploy them at specific orbits to have enough coverage to destroy a sufficient amount?

It's interesting that 17% are not satisfied with editor support for Go. The biggest editor feature requests were for code completion and navigating code.

Rather than editors being at fault, could these indicate that Go is a bit too verbose? I wonder if generic functions will affect this. I rarely write Go, but I can imagine autocompletion macros for `err != ...` could help.

GoLand does a better job and is more stable and reliable than VSCode here, even having to restart the daemon from time to time for VSCode. Of course it could also be what you said, I can only write for myself. I hope they will be able to introduce stability and reliability of the former.

I still believe it is easier to teach good habits to folks who have experience with bad habits, than to teach folks who have no experience at all. It's not too hard to find examples of how those issues (e.g., globals, stringly types, god-functions) can backfire once you get to scale, but it's really hard to motivate them when folks are still trying to wrap their head around function calls and variable assignment.

Or they don't understand why its a good habit and so follow the advice blindly, not knowing when to skip it or not. Breadth of experience.

In theory yes, but there is the challenge of avoiding re-infection with the one species you're being treated to eliminate.

Is the gut usually the main target or just as byproduct getting wiped? If not then its not necessarily an issue.

I saw an emergency doctor for a bad upper-respiratory infection (coughing blood) and was prescribed Augmentin for 10 days. It abolished the lung issue but wiped out my gut bacteria and gave me severe IBS-D.

That was seven years ago. I was forced to quit my job. I couldn't travel at all, even across town. I became dreadfully sick with even light physical exertion. After five years of every test, diet, medication, and therapy available to me I was prescribed medication (eluxadoline) which is effective, but costs me $24,000/year and is not covered by insurance. I still have flare-ups once a month but at least I can ride my bicycle again.

I wish I could sue the doctor who stole my twenties from me. But I stand no chance in court.

No shit, it's just someone's project to get a promotion, again. Nobody cares, nobody will use it, and it'll go into the graveyard in a year or two.

Why would it be less successful compared to Apple Pay? Isn't it the same functionality?

This brings an interesting anecdote from when I suddenly had this question of how my seniors working in the 80s and 90s in a small Indian lab managed to get the literature they want (when their small lab was still one of the most advanced institutions in the state). My senior said they’d pretty much have to write up a literature request letter, attach a cheque and mail it to the main library in New Delhi, and they would typically hear back from them after a month or two either with a copy of the article or saying they can’t get it (roughly half the time). They still did good research, arguably even better than what crap gets spewed out now!

Just like Wikipedia and the internet didn’t change everyone’s ability to know things in any meaningful way (actually it made it worse), free access to arbitrary literature was not exactly the limiting step in anyone’s research career in my experience. It’s definitely annoying but once you’re up to speed in a field you are typically happy with just the abstract and if it’s an important enough paper you find a way to get it one way or another. Especially with a good supportive library and ILL system it’s typically a snap.

What are limiting steps?

Unrelated to original thread - I find it interesting the way you approach this comment. You mention pricing almost as if you're apologizing. Your competitors, even if they are binge-focused, don't apologize for charging customers. They would never have a an advert that says "we've got this great course, but before you go check it out, I'll warn you, it costs money".

I like your thinking of non-binge learning, and think you could really use that as a differentiator, in your marketing.

Your site looks great, and I really like the way you approach it, or describe it here, but that isn't coming through in your branding. Think Salesforce's "no software", they showed who the enemy was, and put them squarely against it, and if you really look at it, they were selling a CRM, not selling "no software", you're even closer to your product.

If you haven't yet, you may want to check out the book Play Bigger and category creation.

Just a thought, best of luck to you.
