Generally correct; however also wrong in this specific instance. The article also clearly limits scope to Europe, specifically modern-day Bavaria. And therefore uses the specific and appropriate terms "Neolithic", "Bronze Age", and "Iron Age". As Wikipedia calls out [0]:

"The terms "Neolithic" and "Bronze Age" are culture-specific and are mostly limited to cultures of the Old World."

To add to that, terms like Bronze age refer to different times in different locations depending on when bronze began being used. It would refer to an earlier time in the near East than it would in Scandinavia(3300 BC vs 1700 BC). It is not as relevant in the Americas as metallurgy didn't even appear to exist in pre-Columbian North America. There was some minor use of bronze in certain South American cultures but it doesn't seem to have been extensive enough to define a time period.

I don't really see the benefit in this. You can install LineageOS without gapps and MicroG already distributes a fork of LineageOS that includes MicroG. If you want full control of your device you will likely be better off going with something like Librem 5 from Purism.

There's two vaping crises.

One is THC vaping solutions that are killing people.

The second is that we're currently living through a meteoric rise in nicotine addiction among teenagers. For a very long time, teenage nicotine use was going down, due to declines in smoking rates. Smoking rates still continue to decline, but nicotine vaping rates have gone up and to the right. 1 in 4 high school students are now vaping nicotine. That number is growing by ~20% year over year.

This is a public health crisis.

Is caffeine addiction a serious public health crisis?

Nictoine on its own is no more harmful than caffeine.

When I smoked, I was addicted to (Korean) menthols while normal cigarettes would make me puke. So there is definitely something going on there.

I don’t vape, but if they banned flavored liquids, they better ban menthol cigarettes as well.

I believe in the case of NY it was all flavors except menthol that were banned.

You are aware that the money collected by the tariffs was extracted from American pockets, right, not Chinese? So you are describing a tax and transfer program: Americans who buy Chinese goods are taxed to compensate Americans who are losing income due to the trade war with China.
zosterops · 6 years ago
In the case when prices are increased to cover the tariffs, yes. However, right now the Chinese manufacturers are eating the costs.

Forget the candidates, what about our current president. He seems plenty happy spending away. Billions in Agriculture subsides to prop up his trade war, just as a start.
zosterops · 6 years ago
While I don't think that subsidies and trade wars are good things. The tariffs collected a lot more than was spent on those agriculture subsidies.

There were budget surpluses from 1998 through 2001.

One thing you aren't accounting for is tax receipts going up because the economy grows. It's usually the case that spending goes up at the same time, but it doesn't have to go up.
