I love making games! I've been building a no-code game engine by extracting reusable components each time I make a new game. Started as a way to scratch my own itch, now it's becoming a proper platform. A couple games I've shipped with it:

Each game I build adds to the component library: multiplayer, event systems, NPC behaviors, dialogues, etc... Currently working on a multiplayer Bomberman clone which is stress-testing the networking layer.

The engine/editor is at craftmygame.com if anyone wants to poke around!

The games seem fun, and your beta site looks fantastic. I'm always awed and humbled by folks who have the vision & spend the time to create something like this.

I wrote a simpler explanation still, that follows a similar flow, but approaches it from more of a "problems to solve" perspective: https://sgnt.ai/p/embeddings-explainer/

Thanks for sharing this, I'm really enjoying the style and you've clarified some concepts in a clear way.

His blog post mentions people influenced (and misguided) by reading only American Sci-Fi. What are some examples of good "worldly" Sci-Fi? Or, good non-US Sci-Fi authors? Should I just check the Hugo and Nebula awards? I would like to expand my Sci-Fi palate.

I absolutely love this synth.

I made an entire EP using mostly just this synth (Think Aphex twin/ 90s warp braindance)

Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/5to7MacsSiftv8vPFW05aL Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/cassilda_and_carcosa/sets/marantz_cp_...

Its such a great little 4op synth. It is a pain to program via the frontpanel but the Stereoop controller or the electra.one make it very easy to get into.

Listened to all your releases, really enjoyed them! Curious to see whether/what you'll do with Bitwig, Poly Grid is insane but I personally I still prefer hardware.

It is! And especially when you’re the dev type and not necessarily a natural at promoting yourself…

Building the audience took about a year and a half. But what made it easier is that I didn’t set out to build it just to sell the course, it was mostly a byproduct of trying to form connections and get more awareness for my startup. Then the course was just a way to capitalize on it even more.

Thanks for the details, sounds like a right way to do it, congrats!

I put it on gumroad and sell it as a digital download. 100% DYI. The sales come mostly from my social media audience.

How long were you building your audience before releasing the course? (I ask this with respect, building an audience is hard.)
