I never really understood the people who use these keybinds. Do you not use it to go to the start of the line?
Personally no, I use vim keybindings in the terminal not emacs which is the default.

Which is a myth. Renewables can in fact supply most requirements if they are coupled with battery storage. Then the price would be cheaper than nuclear still.
Also, natural gas is much much better than coal for the environment. And more responsive too so dark and calm times can be handled as well.
So, why are we not doing it? Lobbyism, lock in, politics, nimby.
Batteries are the most expensive parts on EVs, they're heavy, require rare-earth metals and they wear out. So not an ideal solution.
Would be pretty cool to have the EV batteries on cars hooked up to the electric infrastructure and handle the offset and also charging them when there is too much power in the grid.

The pro-nuclear cult is certainly irritating. Still stuck on a technology which can't help us much in the current climate predicament (too slow to build, too expensive) and which we repeatedly failed to manage.
The environmental movement isn't in charge. The world community (through mostly democratic elected governments) has decided to reduce emmissions to Net Zero, not energy usage.
The sun doesn't always shine and the wind doesn't always blow. What is your solution then, burn coal and oil? Nuclear has a great role to fill the gap reliably.

I'm a big fan of two-tier systems where the 90% case is taken on by something cheap, and renting the premium tier. Works for cars, server hosting, dining ...
Would be cheaper in the long run maybe but heat, noise, electricity cost and the fact that the models are not as good as sonnet 4 and opus 4 are some things to consider.

Still you have a good point, one should be skeptical of what is written by bots.
A Tesla 3 is 5% heavier than a BMW 3. First generation ICE conversions were heavy. Cars properly designed from the ground up for EV aren't as much.
Yeah but they should get lighter ideally and not heavier because the BMW 3 ICE has also gotten unreasonably heavy.
I'm a huge proponent of biking and electric bikes but there is too bad infrastructure, storage, safety concerns etc that are not being addressed properly. For instance I wish I could buy a Cargo bike and use that for grocery shopping and most other transportation of my kids but I don't have room in our bike storage (where I've had two bikes stolen) and I don't have room in our storage room and live in an apartment. The cars parking take up more square meters than the squaremeters of the building or close to it while the bike storage is a fraction of that.
To those wondering about tire wear:

So putting this aside, the elephant in the room is still the weight of the EVs, tire wear is one thing but the roads are also being worn at a much faster rate due to the weight of the cars. When EVs do have to brake and regenerative is not enough it needs to stop more inertia due to this high weight.
