This is slightly different but webex makes me change my password every 30 days... It's ridiculous...

considering the fact that in all metro areas housing prices have almost doubled, I'm curious in which parts of the country the housing prices decreased by half to reach the 13% average increase

Washington DC has for one not doubled. I'm not sure you're statement is accurate.

Can anybody recommend a good checklist app for Android? When I search for "checklist" I only find ToDo-List apps that call themselves "checklist" app.

What I'd like is something where you can set a per-checklist timeout after which the list resets everything to unchecked and maybe allow two different ways to view each checklist (or modes): 1. All at once with little check marks that you can check in any order 2. Strictly ordered checklists where you only see the current task and check it to get to the next, ideally with a "3/14" indicator or progress bar to know how far you've got through the checklist.

Which apps can you recommend?

Check out wunderlist. It also syncs to your computer. You could set up a template list and just duplicate from that for each needed instance.

I'm curious what kind of impact a design like this would have on pilots getting checked out in the aircraft.

I think this is an underrated comment. I think 99% of my phone calls now are robo-calls or organizations I've done some transaction with calling. Very few (1% or less) of my phone calls are like friends and family--other mediums just took those over completely.

I completely agree but the consideration is your phone is dead and you need to get ahold of someone. You should be able to easily memorize some way to contact emergency contacts IMO.

When I read the title, I read it as though these reward programs were stings used to catch black hat Hackers. The purpose of language is to communicate meaning and this headline fails to do so properly.

Depends who the audience is.

Honey pot is defined as an enticing source of pleasure or reward.

So the title works for the non techy.

Astronauts train for doing astronaut things like spacewalks and other zero-g activities.

I would expect a tourist needs to demonstrate they have the fortitude to:

1. Not Die

2. (Possibly) not lose their shit (any definition)

These can probably be handled with a centrifuge after the tourist demonstrates surviving an extreme rollercoaster.

>(Possibly) not lose their shit (any definition)

This is the funniest thing I've read all day.

> Have you heard of Elon musk?

The guy who failed at Neuralink and the Boring Company?

Might have to add Tesla to the above sentence, depending on if they run out of cash this year or not.

sbjustin · 7 years ago
You mean the guy that confounded PayPal?

What's this obsession with people seeing some failures and using them to sum up a person? Many of the greatest also failed at times...
