Ah then - so in your mind it's only Elon who's the hypocrite?
justrealist · 2 years ago
What specifically do you think Elon has said which is hypocritical?

Pretty much, yes. Personally I don't mind the idea of sucking on the government teat - seems pretty reasonable.

But when you're a libertarian doing it - I just have to laugh.

Ditto Tesla. It's not a coincidence that all these guys are suffering the same hypocrisy.

Defense/military is one of the few government functions that libertarians endorse as totally necessary. To many, it's the only legitimate government function.

I don't think you've thought about this very hard.

HN will make snarky comments about doing no evil and avoid reading the part where the NLRB forced their hand by classifying worker protection of subcontractors as de-facto employee status. Good job NLRB.

It would be interesting if some insurance companies ended up offering you a "healthy life" service where they give you time w/ a nutritionist/therapist or even provide healthy foods. Maybe this would be cheaper for them and would stop you from having to take these pills to begin with.

What you are describing would be ineffective and also more than $1k/mo, the list price of Ozempic.

Store bought blueberries are garbage. Even the frozen “cultivated wild” (wtf is that) ones.

If it’s not bought from the side of the road in northern Ontario or Quebec (and probably some other places), you don’t know what you’re missing.

Store bought blueberries are fine. Frozen blueberries are fine. It's food, worry about things that matter.

> Sweden thereby joined a unique club of nations – which includes Switzerland, Ukraine and South Africa – who gave up their nuclear weapons programmes and showed the world that nuclear disarmament was possible.

I bet Ukraine is regretting their decision right now.

How many decades of central planning organ-management failure would you like before concluding the experiment has failed?
