Does anyone know anything about current defenses against large-scale drone attacks? The scenario I'm thinking of is 100+ small drones, each with an explosive device attached (maybe a grenade), all programmed to attack a specific target, at a specific date/time. The defenses that I know about (shotguns and nets?) might stop, maybe, half of the drones, but that still leaves 50 grenades, all set to explode on the same target. I just don't know how a target would defend against an attack like that - GPS jamming?

The album art is more than sufficiently large on their modern screen sizes.

My high school daughter has really gotten into astronomy and space in the last few years, and is torn between celebrating the 9th use of the same first-stage rocket and hating the pieces of space junk it’s delivering to low earth orbit.

It’s not space junk. When they’re ready to be decommissioned or they fail, the thrusters turn off and the whole thing descends into the atmosphere and burns up.

Look, the people who signed up for the service were mostly men looking to cheat on their wives if it makes you feel better.

Screw them. Why get married when you are just going to sign up on dating site to look for sugar babies who can't be bothered to put in the work so they sleep with married rich older men.

I don't think you realize how corrupt and immoral people are. I took great joy reading through the depraved private messages. It's technically prostitution if you wanna put it that way.

Let me take a guess: you worked at Ashley Madison? Data breach, Canada, cheating, etc. Checks out

Possibly a joke about their profile, which says they are selling a car and to comment an offer on any of their comments.

If not, then I'm as lost as you are.

dcgoss commented on Show HN: 18 year-old and HS XCTF team built a free app for shareable stopwatches   synchrostopwatch.com... · Posted by u/dcgoss

Hey HN! My name is Derek, and this is my project.

Over my years running varsity XC & track in HS, myself and others on my team took a lot of splits during workouts and races. It was always such a hassle to take splits without a convenient way to save, search, and share them with each other besides taking pictures or writing them out on paper. To solve this problem, I worked with my team as well as local athletes and coaches to develop Synchro: a free pro stopwatch app for people who take splits. Synchro Pro removes the ads and enables you to have an unlimited number of simultaneously running stopwatches (free limit is 2) and saved stopwatches in the "Archive" tab (free limit is 5).

It launched yesterday on the App Store, and I'd love for you to try it and let me know what you think!
