I’m missing something, won’t the input to the llm necessarily be plaintext? And the output too? Then, as long as the llm has logs, the real input by users will be available somewhere in their servers

Very fun! Would love to see a tier list to start checking off myself, and maybe a caption for the pictures

Reminiscent of On Kawara's "Date Paintings", where he painted each day's date in the local date format, every day for 48 years.

I relate to this through my childhood. I had no inner voice, it was all images and feelings up until college woke my inner dialog. I always felt others knew better, and I became a people pleaser due to the lack of autonomy I felt.

It took one unimportant moment of standing up for myself that turned me from a yes follower, into a combative agreer. I had a series of nights where a puzzle appeared to be being solved in my mind, and an inner voice began to form.

Social interactions go much more smoothly when you can think before you speak in terms that others can understand when the words leave your lips.

Thanks for sharing.

I've never met Franklin Antonio, but for the ones that don't know, he co-founded Qualcomm, and I assume he made most of his money that way. He died last year, casue of death was uncertain. [0]

Wikipedia somehow separates him from the "original" seven founders, though: [1]

> Qualcomm was created in July 1985by seven former Linkabit employees led by Irwin Jacobs. Other co-founders included Andrew Viterbi, Franklin Antonio, Adelia Coffman, Andrew Cohen, Klein Gilhousen, and Harvey White.

It seems that he's been a long-time supporter of SETI.

Glad that this money will go towards scientific research.

EDIT: the source cited by Wikipedia [2] actually includes Franklin Antonio among the original seven founders:

> The company was founded in 1985 by seven communications industry veterans -- Franklin Antonio, Adelia Coffman, Andrew Cohen, Klein Gilhousen, Irwin Jacobs, Andrew Viterbi and Harvey White.

After the Apple Vision announcement today, I was reminded of this short story by Rich Larson. Not so dystopian now
