I find the sqlitebrowser UI to be perfectly fine. It's not pretty, but it's a tool so who cares.
People care about the tools they are using a lot and spend a great deal of time on finding the perfect knife, the perfect editor, the perfect scissors.

Why do you think that it is not thriving? Is the company struggling? Not everyone needs to use the thing to be thriving.
I don't have any insights into how the company is doing, I'm just going by the sample set of people around me or things I read.
I'm a fan of indie software and native apps but I know zero people in the past 10 years that switched to ST. I know plenty of people of people who switched to Vscode and all the other free or paid competitors. It's probably enough to sustain a small company, and not everyone has to strive for a monopoly. But I wouldn't call that thriving.
Sublime Text solved this 17 years ago with the 40-year-old shareware model.
It's also faster than Zed, works on Linux/Win/MacOS, and is decently customizable.
They didn’t “solve” it, otherwise it would be a thriving editor that everyone would be using.
In reality 70% of the people I see are using Cursor (Subscription), Vscode (Free) or some JetBrains products (Subscription). I only know of some people including myself that have ST for opening large files, where performance matters.
On-topic: Seems like a good feature.
Off-topic: I've been reading some of the comments and I notice a bunch of HN-members are unhappy about their product. My experience: things never broke for me, never needed to contact support, ads are blocked, etc (But I also use uBlock, etc)
(P.s. - My only complaint is that -- like so many other SaaS offerings -- administrating payments is not easy enough. - No option to pay by year - So every month you have to go the website, login, go the admin, click download invoice - Instead of: click download PDF from monthly invoice email)
Just to balance the negative comments: I'm in the same boat, I'm paying yearly and I never had to use any support and things also never broke for me.

Another very similar one is https://dokku.com, have been using it for years and I like that it's a very thin layer on top of Docker. So even if you uninstall it everything keeps running and you can just manage it manually.

Biggest issue I have with Ghostty is that on the mac with Nano.. you can't copy and paste multiple lines into the editor. It's something about how the terminal handles "bracketed pasting".. but yet this isn't an issue with iterm2 and term.
I've used Ghostty as my default terminal since I set up my new computer a couple of months ago. The only issue I have is the missing search which I often reach for to look through output that I didn't pipe anywhere.

I'm calling it-- 5 years and this will be vaporware. We live in a world where you have to 1) compete with VISA, Mastercard and 2) compete with Bitcoin Lightning Network.
You don't have to wait that long, they shut down. "We realized that we were back at square one, and with our product so far ahead of our sales, decided to pivot away from payments entirely."

It's just so annyoing how someone like Netflix offers like 3-4 languages for most of its content when you can basically get it for free via browser extensions (if you watch on browser).
Must be union thing.
That Netflix who would need to pay more to license more subtitles can't compete with pirated or unlicensed auto-generated subtitles shouldn't really be a surprise.
It's also annoying that you have to pay for Netflix when you can get the same movies for free with less restrictions on a pirate site.

It's not "exactly" that.
What's the difference? I'm not trying to be a hater, just trying to see how it differs from the already included, or soon to be included features of these platforms that all push into the "agentic, working for you while you are away" space.
