I was at a Hilton recently and ordered room service - tortilla soup. When it came up, there was no spoon, so I called the front desk. Of course it was an AI, so I said “I just ordered a soup and got no spoon. Can you send me a spoon?”

It goes “got it - we’ll send a spoon up”.

It seems absurdly simple but was pretty impressed at a real implementation of AI that just worked (in what I’d consider an edge case).

Seems like outlook stop receiving emails from cloudflare redirection:

upstream (outlook-com.olc.protection.outlook.com.) temporary error: Unknown error: transient error (451): 4.7.650 The mail server [104.30.10.49] has been temporarily rate limited due to IP reputation

I don't know how to deal with this so right now you can contact me on n0vella@outlook.com

I used to like AvE till COVID. Then he became an anti-masker conspiratorial nutjob.

Always felt AvE stayed the same person he always, the same kind of commentary he always made. Low gov man with low gov sentiments.

> I recommend opting out now

Little point. It'll be like facebook's opt-out and only cover things you post/update going forward. Everything you've already posted has already been slurped into the training set and won't be taken out and the model(s) retrained.

The only way to show disapproval in this sort of behaviour that they'll feel is to stop using services that use auto-opt-in for anything, and not enough people are likely to do that for it to be effective.

I wonder how this works if someone in a GDPR country got slurped up somehow. Could they demand the entire LLM be deleted?

I would buy a Kia or Hyundai because I get the same level of reliability as an American car, but with more creature comforts and at a lower price point.

Canadian Pacific is not in the business of verifying who has legal title.

Resolving theft is the government’s job, moving stuff is Canadian Pacific’s job.

The onus lies on the government to have sufficient personnel and processes to have the stolen item recovered quickly.

bogdanstanciu · 2 years ago
I mostly disagree that it's on the Feds to recover stolen property.

If the Canadian Pacific police is contacted, told "Canadian Pacific has my stolen car, these are the case numbers with 2 different police services, and here is the exact container the car is in", I don't see how the right response is do nothing.

The video puts only slight pressure on Canadian Pacific, and major pressure on the federal government...

But if Canadian Pacific was told they have stolen property & continued to ship it - why are they not held responsible? And if exact storage container was spotted, why didn't the railway police try harder to trace the shipper?

How can you make use of this info? Like which tool allows you to tighten down to a specific torque?
bogdanstanciu · 2 years ago
Torque wrenches let you set a max torque and will spin freely+ no longer tighten after they reach it
