It's used in iOS as well. iOS runs in some unexpected places, like for example Studio Display. Also, the Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter runs Darwin (because RTKit didn't exist yet).

that lightning AV adapter is crazy, iirc it creates an ethernet connection to airplay the display to the device

There's so many things in games that are taken for granted at play time but which actually take a lot of thinking and work to get right. Roads for instance aren't something which your typical player will look too closely at... but they will notice if they look or behave in a way that seems wrong.

I've been playing Kingdom Come 2 of late, and I find it's natural to just kind of take the world they've created for granted - just like we do the real world. But when you actually stop and look you have to consider that every one of the finely crafted details was built by someone's sweat and tears, be it artists, programmers, or designers at edit time.

No wonder it's an industry of crunch, the work involved can be uniquely daunting.

I absolutely love how Skyrim's world is built. A lot of details that would fly past most players' attention are quite thought through. How roads connect, where do rivers intersect, where do lakes get their water from, in which direction do they flow etc.

Does anyone know if iOS in lockdown mode stops syncing mail, imessage, call history etc to your other apple devices? I am wondering if reporter's stuff was all synced to the non lockdown MacBook from the iPhone

I browse my LinkedIn feed (yeah, I know) and I often see discussions pop up between people from my network, albeit nowadays it's mostly about AI tools.

I see discussions pop up on /r/webdev on reddit, but not a super active subreddit.

on 4chan there used to be /wdg/ (maybe there still is, but i haven't been to that website in years at this point)

I bet a lot of discussions happen on Slack servers for specific frameworks, but I don't have a lot of experience with using those except asking questions in the #questions channels

what do you use Flameshot for on macOS? if you want to edit stuff, you can set the screenshot tool to open the screenshot in Preview.app where you can perform basic editing on it (cmd+shift+5 and then click Options and choose "Preview" in "Save to")
