I'm experiencing the same issue which is definitely exacerbated by straying from a 'default' configuration e.g. using a custom browser screen reader, browsing from Brazil, using a VPN, using Firefox. I think eventually I'll be completely locked out of the 'mainstream' web

Coinbase + USDC are essentialy this now. They've started working with many merchants both in the real world and online to add USDC pay and transactions are less than a cent with Coinbase charging no additional fees.

Yep, plus Apple is opening up the NFC API for tap to pay. I could easily see merchants accept both cards (2%+8c) and USDC (0%) at point of sale

Amazon's retail problem is that it is failing the customer by using 3rd party sellers.

And in places where Walmart+ or Target circle are available I bet they are losing sales. I actually prefer Walmart+ and Target now.. but I am only N=1. I may do the whole foods delivery when it becomes available though so that would bring me back in to the Amazon fold.

Amazon 1st party is and continues to be a loss leader. If they got rid of their 3rd party sellers tomorrow, the company would go bankrupt from the loss of B2B commission, fulfilment and ads revenue
