ParanoidShroom commented on The AI bubble today is bigger than the IT bubble in the 1990s   apolloacademy.com/ai-bubb... · Posted by u/akyuu

For those around for the .com bust it does feel very similar. In both cases the tech is amazing and isn’t going away, but the business models of many/most companies “innovating” with the tech is simply unsustainable. A lot of “AI” currently looks like a dry forest waiting for lighting to strike and burn it to the ground. The latest round of PR puff from CEOs saying they’re doing layoffs because of AI (vs their poor performance or prior bad business decisions) is fueling the perception that the hype is a mile wide and a millimeter thick, just waiting for the moment when it all comes crashing down.

This is a longstanding predictable pattern in tech. Most of these “AI companies” will go bust or become a shell of their former self and sold off for parts. The tech will be commoditized and become pretty ubiquitous across the board but not a profit center in its own right.

Do you think FANG companies inflate AI on purpose in order to create a scenario for a bust to happen, they can survive it given their vast warchest of cash

The obvious solution to this problem is just not taking random pills.

Also I don't see how this solves anything, just because a pill "looks" like another doesn't mean it is that, it could still be anything.

It's harm reduction. Obvious? That's not how the real world works I'm afraid. Where did I claim this "solved" the problem?

Can we see the interoperability requests that meta submitted? That would clarify if the shade is legit.

SMS specifications include "Type 0" messages, also known as Silent SMS. These messages don't trigger any even on the phone when received, but they do send back an ACK that includes IMSI metadata. Silent SM, are literally defined in the RFC and primarily used to covertly track user locations without judicial oversight.

GSM, SS7, etc. are massive privacy holes _by design_.

They are primarily used for configuring your visual voicemail lol. Stop the hyperbolic statements.

I applied to open garden many years ago, solved their coding challenges but after back and forth it didn't go anywhere.

It seem Stas has since then started clostra.com The fireside chat messenger just rebranded. https://www.newnode.com/download.

I love a good conspiracy but shows little evidence.

Nice project! I find it can be hard to think of a idea that is well suited to use AI. Using embeddings for search is definitely a good option to start with.

I made a reverse image search when I learned about embeddings. It's pretty fun to work with images https://medium.com/@christophe.smet1/finding-dirty-xtc-with-...

So I'm a stage 4 cancer patient and now there's a real fire under my ass to do a heroic dose. I talked to my therapist about it and he was like yea, here's this website where you can order some chocolate bars. My jaw hit the floor. I thought he was referencing the darkweb, but nope just a typical site in Canada I think.

I'm still incredibly new to it all and would love to grow my own at one point. I'd also love to know where ahem folks are sourcing their stuff.

ParanoidShroom · 2 years ago
Shroomery has all the information in the world or just youtube. Spore tend to be legal in many places, then buy sterilised kits and inject, its really easy. You can do it all yourself for a bit less money but then you'll see tricky grain infections can be.

>heroic dose. imho they arent worth it, im making assumption regarding the cancer but you might benefit more from an actual `ceremony`. Not to get spiritual but they are more guided, a guided ayahuasca ceremony might be less intense but I personally think would be a better fit.

Hope you'll be fine.

I'm pretty sure that was a money-laundering scheme disguised as some silicon valley-esque startup to not trigger alarm bells with institutions

I don't see how one would do that. Mind expanding? You won't turn out dividends and salary sounds highly taxed

A reverse image search where I look for similar images by transforming images to a dense vector set by a finetuned triplet loss model.
