To make it make sense in my opinion canvas should already be a first class format for web browsers, so it doesn't have to be inside a HTML.
Then we would have a choice of HTML-first page with canvas elements in it, or a canvas-first page with HTML elements in it.
But what do I know.
What does the political climate look like in Israel? Do majority of people support what is happening, if so why? if not, how is the government executing this?
Further, has this had any impact on the overall relationship between Jewish people worldwide and those residing in Israel? if so, how?
I know that the media is all over the place and it's hard to figure out what is going on as an outsider.
Either way, I hope that this situation gets resolved. I don't think that it's good for anyone and is costing a lot of money and lives.
The problem is temporary: good AI agents don't exist, because sufficiently intelligent AI doesn't yet exist.
(Agency and broad-domain intelligence are basically the same thing. Being able to answer questions relevant to planning is planning.)
This state of affairs is in stark contrast to the crypto/Web3 space, where no one ever presented a use case even conditional on the existence of good blockchain technology.
It's easy to mistake this piece as making an argument for accelerating AI development by touting the virtues of techno-optimism. It's not, though.
The claim that "AI has a high risk of becoming unaligned & uncontrollable in our lifetimes", if sufficiently true (e.g. 99% confidence), implies that the current speed of AI development is unwise, independent of how much one likes techno-optimism in general.
