InternalRun commented on Facebook Dangerous Individuals and Organizations List (Reproduced Snapshot)   theintercept.com/document... · Posted by u/1cvmask

I can appreciate that this is a "Reproduced Snapshot". I don't see anywhere that clarifies what it means, but I assume that this means it's not a simple copy/paste of text, nor a screenshot.

The reason for avoiding both of those is to avoid passing through watermarking that can reveal how the data was leaked.

Text can be watermarked by including unicode characters that look identical to ASCII characters or including invisible characters like zero-width spaces. Copy-pasting text will keep those characters.

Images from screenshots can be watermarked by having subtly differently colored pixels, subtle differences in text spacing, etc.

I believe you’re right especially since they’ve blown a source before by posting a original copy of leaked documents

There are few things as satisfying than watching Oracle lose court cases.

Fixes this issue basically: https://github.com/GoogleChrome/lighthouse/issues/6512#:~:te....

Tried all of the proposed solutions and this error still pops up on certain sites and certain configuration settings. Felt totally random when it started happening.

I’ve experienced the same as you, I’ve lost many hours to fixing different protocol time out errors. We’re running it in ECS now and it’s pretty stable, every now and then one pops up but is fixed by retrying the job.

Well now this would get all the infrastructure guys enraged when they hear that they (Zoom) proudly rely on Oracle's infrastructure, to scale to millions of users [0]

Let's wait until the first person asks if they use 'Kubernetes' yet.

They use multiple services including AWS, Oracle, Azure, and their own data center.

A fair few apps are crashing for me. I wonder if it is a similar problem to the Facebook SDK issues a few months ago.

Look's like there is an open issue on the Facebook SDK GitHub

Does anybody know what technology is used for the Spotify desktop apps? I was poking around to see if I could figure it out. It seems like something perhaps written in C with a hybrid of widget toolkit and HTML. I was just curious because I'm always interested to see how other people are doing cross-platform desktop apps.
