Instagram tip: if you click the wordlogo “Instagram” at the top (in the mobile app), you can select “Following” and get a feed of only posts from accounts you follow, with no suggested posts and no reels.

I end up going through that feed in a few minutes and it insulates me from the endless scrolling.

Can you set this as default?

I like his choice: starting from the La Marzocco at home, through the Hasselblad camera, and all the scroll saw, drill press, etc. Every man's essentials.

But I was surprised by his choice of Bang & Olufsen for music. For example, his Sennheiser headphones are mostly for hearing sound as it is, while B&O always tries to 'enhance' sound in their own way. It doesn’t match much.

Could have been a gift, or experiment!

>You can change that in Settings → Privacy and security → Invitations → Select My contacts

Bizarre that that's not the default and that it's actually an option at all.

I'd be happy to try it out in Kindle, to combat focus problems. Open dyslexia was somehow helping for some time, but I reverted it back eventually.

My mom is 76 and she had a virus ruin one of corneas. I wish this was already a common practice but I doubt she will be able to benefit from this.

If your eye is irritated and redness doesn't go away for days - visit your doctor.

I saved this story to understand more about cars and inspire myself and others to DIY stuff, great!

Pretty sure that’s a mistake, they do elsewhere (https://transitapp.com/en/region/london/tfl ), and I’m using it ,right now.

Not doing so would be astonishing given how many people use public transport here, and that TFL’s data is really, really open + easy to use.

I checked twice in disbelief, but amongst many many places - London (UK) not being listed was surprising to me. I thought it's maybe some extra challenge of the oldest subway system.

Just tried installing it on my commute in London. Didn't work - in fact it thought I was at the stop before the one I got on at (when I did have GPS) even when I was 5 or 6 stations further along on my journey. Then it spent the whole rest of the journey spamming me with notifications about the next departure time at the station I didn't get on at.

Wildly inaccurate even with GPS it seems.

Instant uninstall. Sorry.

Their website doesn't include London in the UK section (https://TRANSITAPP.COM/REGION).
