Ah, those days, where you would slice your designs and export them to tables.

Why not! We did this in 2024 for our website (1) to have zero CSS.

Still works, only Claude can not understand what those tables means.

We use Render which apparently uses Cloudflare. It went down.

Hard to know what 3rd party services you depend on uses Cloudflare.

Luckily there is Privacy terms that usually disclose this.

I’d argue that the big 3 cloud providers have more outages than this, only cloudflare actually lets you know.

I've been operating a relatively small digital platform for 15 years. We don't use Cloudflare, for bots, we use tirreno (1), which we specifically created to filter malicious traffic.

For hosting, we use a local and sovereign EU provider.

If tomorrow Cloudflare, Amazon, and Microsoft were to somehow disappear or go permanently down, I wouldn't even notice.

Raise your hands if you don't use Cloudflare in your stack and are proud of your decision.

You are the future of the operational internet!

Hey HN,

It's been 11 months since tirreno was initially launched on hn.

During this time, the platform has significantly pivoted from open-source fraud prevention to product security analytics. Technically, this means we've shifted from OsInt to user behavior analytics and detailed audit trails, as monitoring data changes in applications can reveal significant threats. Now it's more like web analytics, but for in-app security.

GitHub: https://github.com/tirrenotechnologies/tirreno

Website: https://www.tirreno.com

I'm actively looking for feedback from dev/product teams. If there's something missing that could be helpful to monitor, understand, or protect your application, I'd love to hear it.

May I ask if this code is the result of 'vibe coding'?

I get a new fingerprint id everytime I refresh the page (firefox, linux) -- so that might be sampling a tiny bit too much. audio and canvas fingerprint are constant though so it's probably plenty enough...

The same applies to macOS. Safari produces a unique fingerprint ID every time, and Firefox also has a different fingerprint ID with every visit.

If the fingerprint ID is unique every time, there is zero possibility of using it for identification.
