It doesn't mean kids should never get an x-ray.
Sometimes moderation means complete abstinence but generally not.
- The Switch is primarily a gaming device for entertainment purposes.
- The eShop overwhelmingly focuses on providing games for said entertainment purposes.
- It can be assumed that the overwhelming majority of people do not use the Switch, or expect to use the Switch, for general lifestyle purposes.
(That said, I wish we lived in a world where the eShop wasn't the only way to get digital games on the Switch, but phones have evolved to impact a large segment of the economy in many ways)
The only thing I'm shocked about is that it hasn't wasn't illegal before.
The "jammer" is an adversarial pattern applied to the plate. The cameras are undamaged by it.
Also, from the video the license plate is modified, which is illegal - it’s like modding your passport. As the video states…
The Fix: Lock it Down:
Go to Settings > Screen Time.
Tap Turn On Screen Time (if not already on) and set it up for your child.
Tap Use Screen Time Passcode and create a passcode that the child doesn't know.
Go to Content & Privacy Restrictions (under Screen Time) and turn it on.
Tap Allowed Apps (to disable camera/other apps if needed) and Change Restrictions.
Under Content & Privacy Restrictions, find Date & Time Changes and set it to Don't Allow Changes or Require Password.
Simplest example to point this out is if the parental controls only had things to limit phone usage generally without per app controls.
