Those who wield power in Israel have calculated that they can do whatever they want at this moment and that they will enjoy functional impunity.

I repudiate what they are doing, but I do not disagree with their calculation. I can imagine no scenario where any foreign power tries to actually stop them.

There are numerous clips of Rabbis openly promoting the extermination of Palestinians.

They use the story of Amalek from the Torah.

One of the Rabbis I watched recently said "when you kill the first child it breaks your heart [...] then you start to enjoy it."

_Many_ Rabbis are demanding that animals, children, women and unarmed males be "erased." IDF soldiers are bragging about killing and raping civilians on social media. One IDF soldier was complaining he hasn't shot any children under 12 yet.

Netanyahu is a moderate. He's not an "extremist."

> What is crypto mining if not a textbook Captain Planet villain scheme—to kill and raze and destroy for nothing but imaginary tokens proving that you did lots of killing and razing and destroying?

Are you serious? You complain about the 2008 crisis and capitalism and yet completely neglect the true purpose of crypto? No wonder you drank the Google kool-aid

What's the true purpose of crypto? It can be used to escape the banking system?

Concerned about these R&D layoffs and startup closures. I love startups and cannot go back to the mind drudgery of corporate offices. Remote work changed my life for the better.

Feel like there's a massive recession coming and it's time to hold onto my job as long as possible, sell my house and start a company.

Aiming for 10 - 15 years of runway (without tapping into my retirement accounts) to make this succeed.

Already learned Software Development, now it's time to learn Copy, Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Recruiting, Networking, Social Skills, etc.

Tried to install it on asahi-linux fedora. Got a segfault:

```
/usr/bin/pulsar: line 151: 480856 Segmentation fault nohup "$PULSAR_PATH" --executed-from="$(pwd)" --pid=$$ "$@" --no-sandbox > "$ATOM_HOME/nohup.out" 2>&1
```

Looks like it's a fork of Atom?

waterlaw · 2 years ago
Looks like it from the Documentation. The User and Developer Guide references Atom quite a bit (includes the original Atom docs too)

An aside, but I wish more webpages for applications put screenshots on the front page. Probably would had made it easier to notice if the application was based on Electron or not

Now I believe Peter Zeihan when he says we'll likely enter an energy crisis that encompasses the majority of the world later this decade.

My biggest regret is wasting so much time regretting things.
waterlaw · 3 years ago
This is good advice. Learning lessons is not the same as wallowing and reliving the past.

If it's any consolation, you probably would have lost it all in Mt. Gox's blowup anyway. (At least that's what I tell myself :))
waterlaw · 3 years ago
Haha. I lost all my bitcoin stored on a personal wallet. Doesn't even have to be Mt. Gox

Lost half my money in Gold/Silver mining stocks. Broke at 30.

Didn't start that businesses I wanted to in my 20s. Would had been in the same position financially by now anyway.
