Maybe we should treat straws as a wonderful accessibility product that most people shouldn’t use regularly.
If you’ve ever bought a Starbucks iced drink you know that really the only beverage the company sells that needs a straw is a Frappuccino. All those years of selling straws and all Starbucks needed to do was put a properly shaped/size hole on the lid.
Not only are there much bigger priorities, but it's also ridiculous in some forms, and that creates another type of distraction from what actually matters.
The new FinCEN BOI reporting requirement seems to be an attempt to make that easier. I don't see them accepting URLs as company officers any time soon.
OTOH, there are also towns with dogs and cats as mayors, but I suspect being elected makes the difference there.
I guess the only way to know for sure is to try, but I can't see the tax people accepting "my dog is the CEO and ate the taxes and ChatGPT was our treasurer, so collect from them", for example.
But I've been surprised before.
Until I can submit an App ID as a responsible party, I'm guessing CEOs will be here to stay.
This is a common sentiment in Los Angeles and abroad, but I can relate to everything this person is saying as a resident of Los Angeles. There is not a peer group here to make you ambitious, and it’s slowed down my productivity in comparison to when I was in NYC or SF.
But you can fix this, it’s all about speaking in LA lingo.
For example, I tell people “I’m motivated by abundance”, which is spiritual speak for “making money via unbridled capitalism”. And “the universe sent me an idea” instead of my own late stage capitalist actions, as this crowd doesn’t hold themselves accountable for their actions, but you can mold that to your own ends
You’d think it was insufferable, until you saw the women that this engagement farms
Ever see a minimum required purchase for using a credit card? Same kind of deal. You might not be able to make sales below a certain threshold on their own and remain profitable. Is that eBay's fault or yours?
