If left to its own devices, Claude will resort to writing passable looking BS as tests pretty quickly when the going gets tough e.g. if it has to interface with stateful real world systems and its tests struggle to pass

claude is like an intern, someone has to code review and approve before final delivery imho

Not even unrelated, Catala (the law-language) seems to be a French project, supported by institutions in France, and Catalan seems to have a intertwined history with France: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalan_language#France
tough · 9 days ago
funnily enough, the relation comes from a french jurist's last name

from their repo: https://github.com/CatalaLang/catala

> The language is named after Pierre Catala, a professor of law who pionneered the French legaltech by creating a computer database of law cases, Juris-Data.

The npm distribution here is just the binary, you run npm install again and it upgrades to the latest binary. That's convenient

It’s rare that I have a project that justifies the full DDD treatment, but one of the great ideas from it that stuck with me was command/query separation, where you separate out queries, which can be mangled agglomerations of objects for reporting and lists, from commands, which drive your business logic.

I love the idea of a separate verb. It always felt like get is just not quite enough.

Ok?

Yes. That is the problem; that sometimes it works. See the topic. Adding RAG or web search capability limits the loss and hallucinations.

Yes. You always need to check the results. Your task by the way is better for an agentic AI system that can web search, get, and double check results.

his task is probably best done with a script, heck you could thell chatgpt to download all packages with a script and check LICENSE files and report back with a csv/table

I think you messed up something with your time-travelling setup. We're in the timeline where GPT5 did not become the all powerful sentient AI that Ai boosters promised us. Which timeline are you from?

GPT-6 will save us!

I do use AI for vibe coding a lot of slop, but I make a favour to myself and the world and keep those repo's mostly private.

Nobody should publish slop code AI assisted or not tbh
