You’re out of your mind if you think I’m gonna upload ID to use a “shitposting about video games with friends” service.

This was the compiler I was required to use for my courses in university. GCC was forbidden. The professor just really liked tcc for some reason.

Boy this sounds like the equivalent of Nightmare in Elm Street but for developers and instead of waking up to freddy you wake up to thousands of code reviews made by this thing.

Can KDE function without it, using e.g. lightdm? If so, not a big deal.

Just me or does sit well to monetize _mostly_ off the core benefits of an open source application?

Can't be easy to build a GUI on top, but I'm sure a 10% revenue to be redistributed to the hero behind jj would go a long way. Would also pay off.

throwatdem12311 · 11 days ago
There is nothing about neither the licensing of jj or the spirit of open source that stigmatizes this.

I would highly recommend the 2006 deaths note films.

I found the manga and anime to have too many side stories. Fans of them love these near miss stories, but I found them like a bunch of dead ends.

The double feature is well made and much more focused on the core story, imho

I also thought the the L spin-off was pretty good.

If you really know SQL, writing an SQL query basically just feels like writing a prompt for a database client anyway, except it does exactly what you ask for.

I have a running joke at work.

* LLMs are just matrix multiplication. * SQL is just algebra, which has matrix multiplication as part of it. * Therefore SQL is AI * Now who is ready to invest a billion dollars in our AI SaaS company?

Or it’s just that astronaut with a gun meme: “Wait AI is just SQL?….Alway has been.”

Without even clicking I know he’s talking about motion smoothing.

Went to the in-laws over the holidays and the motion smoothing on the otherwise very nice LG tv was absolutely atrocious.

My sister had her Nintendo Switch connected to it and the worst thing was not the low resolution game on the 4k display - it was the motion smoothing. Absolutely unbearable. Sister was complaining about input lag and it was most definitey caused by the motion smoothing.

I keep my own TV on game mode regardless of the content because otherwise all the extra “features” - which includes more than just motion smoothing - pretty much destroys picture quality universally no matter what I’m watching.

Funny, because in Canada “engineer” (the term used with zero abandon in TFA) is a regulated term and calling yourself an engineer in a professional setting when you are not licensed can get you a nice 50k fine.

I’ve only met one programmer in my entire life who actually was licensed engineer.

I call myself a “computer systems architect and implementation specialist”, which won’t get me in trouble and uses buzzwords that mostly describes my day-to-day at my own $DAY_JOB. But come on, let’s be real - I’m a programmer.
