Thanks
If you have specific trackers or APIs in mind, feel free to share would love to hear more about your use case. Strava/Garmin/Apple? What do you want to see in workout.cool : hearthbeat, steps, .. ?
Right now, it's a mix of both let's say.
first, local storage during the session (useful for example in gyms, garages, or basements with poor or no connectivity)
second, syncs with the backend once the session ends and if failed, periodically.
For the tracking, the idea is to eventually generate progress graphs, track "volume" over time, and visualize trends for each exercise or muscle group.
More to come on that front :D
I can imagine some "Decrease difficulty" button. (or inverse).
Appreciate the feedback
You have been lifting weights somewhat regularly for 25 years, majority 3x8-12, and the switch to 5x5 increased your dumb bell bench press from ~20kg to ~35kg?
There is just no way. That is extremely light weight. Like, most beginners who follow any sort of progressive overloading system will be at that level in 4 weeks starting from essentially 0
after 15 years of lifting, I'm currently pushing 4x10 with 50kg dumbbells on the bench. So yeah, 35kg after 25 years seems odd unless those 25 years weren't exactly "serious" or "consistent" let's say.
No judgment, but yeah
So welcome back glad to have you with us again :) !
That error can sometimes appear even after a password reset due to a session mismatch (I'm working on improving that flow this afternoon).
In the meantime, you can try logging in with Google? it should work smoothly and skip the password altogether...
Definitely going to keep it in mind.
Thanks for the discovery
Maybe making use of these could solve the exercise selection and programming issues in the app?
That said, they're mostly full training programs i guess, while what Workout.cool or the old Workout.lol project needs is more at the "individual exercise level" let's say. Videos, metadata, structure, etc.
If they ever open-source a library of exercise videos with clear licensing, that could definitely help yep
