Reminds me of trying to do IoT stuff in hospitals before IoT was a thing.

Send exactly one 205 byte packet. How do you really know? I can see it go out on a scope. And the other end receives a packet with bytes 0-56. Then another packet with bytes 142-204. Finally a packet a 200ms later with bytes 57-141.

FfffFFFFffff You!

If only there was some sort of User Datagram Protocol where you could send specifically tuned packets like this.

Hello, I am from overseas. Can someone please explain to me why would they do that? What is the goal, what is the plan, what is the intent? Thanks for any comments, I am utterly confused.

I suspect it's loaded with drugs rerouted from the speedboats that have been getting BTFO.

> container support

you mean, docker? Everything you can do in docker, you can do with jails.

Jails can have Virtual Networks with their own interfaces, you can resource limit, host virtual machines and setup nested jails. As well run the Linux kernel. What more could you want?

He means he wants to run FreeBSD inside the container environment, not as the host OS.

Everything web-facing, if it's not a static website delivered by a well-tested web server, happens in a high-risk environment. And doubly so, if, like in this case, stuff like custom cgi libraries are involved. One has to be either very confident in their skills to do that or very, very brave.

> I’m typing this shortly after buying my groceries with a visa debit card that was funded 30 seconds before the transaction over Lightning Network with Bitcoin that was sold at a 0.1% fee for USD and immediately then transacted on Visa debit payment network.

I think I'm confused. You paid 0.1% on this transaction, but if you'd done it with just a Visa debit card tied to a traditional bank account you would have paid 0.0%.

Am I missing something?

He gets the benefit of just-in-time conversion to fiat; so his exposure to inflation purchasing power loss is nil.

They got paid out as well. Meta pulled the same thing recently.

So, a new trend where big tech “buys out” a startup in a way that only early VCs, founders and top managers get any value.
