I agree, I would not willingly suffer certain behaviors of coworkers with severe mental disorders.
However, most of the time people with severe mental health disorders are not a danger to others, unlike what pop culture tells us. It’s only ‘terrifying’ because of general lack of understanding and empathy which is what the post is about. We are capable of emotional regulation— jumping straight to ‘terrified’ and fear serves no one, including us, and shuts us off from a potentially great coworker (John Nash, anyone??) or community member.

Nice project and I always like playing with WebRTC but there is something that has me a little concerned .

Maybe I'm wrong, but there is a signaling server in the middle somewhere along the chain here no ? unless it's just the same as PeerJS in which you first need the clients ID, but connection can be flaky.
From the source I can see it's using PeerJS but react is throwing me off a little bit. It's not clear to me what `useContext(WebRTCContext)` is..
Yes, this repo is also an api server which stores peer ids here `https://github.com/kern/filepizza/blob/main/src/app/api/crea... ` and here `https://github.com/kern/filepizza/blob/main/src/channel.ts`. Webrtc implementations typically use a server to connect peers. Without, peers need to exchange id’s to connect.

Let’s not forget P5js which has a long and esteemed history of helping to teach kids and more to program. It’s browser based so it’s compatible with every OS and requires no install. FOSS with an active community of users and contributors. I personally taught some middle schoolers with zero programming experience how to make interactive monsters in 1 hour. It was awesome!

I don't understand the difference in your two propositions, since money is fungible : whether the ratio is established globally or customer per customer, the end result would be the same, wouldn't it ?

If I pay $10/month to Spotify and play 2 artists 20 times each over the month, then each artists should get $5. Ignore Spotify fees for this example.
What Spotify actually does is give these two artists some cents per play. Let’s say $0.01 per play, they each get $0.20 from my subscription and the rest of my $10 goes to Spotify.

I recently had our first baby. I created a self hosted web app for tracking diapers, food, etc. Through the delirium of the first month, it’s been so helpful with recalling when and what we did last and staying in communication with my partner without always being awake at the same time. I know there’s other apps out there but I wanted to keep my baby’s health data private. And it’s fun to create a bespoke app tailored to my family’s needs.

I met Keats through Dan Simmons - Hyperion. It's one of those books that hasn't quite left my mind despite finishing it some time ago.
The combination of a 17th century poet and far future sci-fi is, at first, rather absurd. But the simple and deep connection to topics on love and humanity, something only poetry can provide, is a a beautiful complement to fantastic and terrifying sci-fi concepts in Hyperion. Empathy, love and human connection are the underlying message of the books despite the fun sci-fi facade. I love this series and recommend it to all.
I couldn’t make it through this long article but loved reading about Severn, Fanny Brawne, and Keats— all beloved characters from the hyperion series.
