I’ve started to have a positive association with reading only in the last few years, I wish schools didn’t force books onto children and make them think they hate reading for their whole lives.
History has shown that most (especially legacy) car manufacturers make crappy software. I simply don't believe that GM will make exceptional infotainment software and additionally there's no doubt they will charge some subscription fee for parts of the software. It will not be up to the same standard as Tesla or Rivian's software where I can partially accept this argument.
I love CarPlay and my phone already has all the features I need in the car in terms of music, maps, responding to messages, etc. CarPlay is a requirement for me when looking at a car (even rentals).

Nothing helped me as much as learning this. Spend more time doing facepulls, rows, pulldowns, and any weird variation you can come up with which works your back muscles. I went from a hunchback to mostly not a hunchback and my shoulders are better for it.
There are few things that will blow up your shoulders as quickly as doing pressing movements wrong. If you want to embark on a pushup journey at least learn good form.
The files containing the book content appear to be on the phone (an Android device) and I can transfer them off it. Perhaps these are the same things that I would get on my computer if I were able to do "download and transfer"? So far as I can tell, however, there is no way to do anything with them. At least, if Calibre + the DeDRM plugin + the KFX input plugin are able to interpret them, then I have failed to find how to do so using Calibre's famously clear and intuitive user interface.
(This sort of thing is why I only "buy"[1] Kindle books when they are much, much cheaper than actual physical books.)
[1] To buy something is to give money to its owner, after which you become its owner. Whatever it is you do when you get access to a Kindle e-book, it isn't buying it; you own nothing more after handing over the money than you did before.
If the files are .azw3 then it's the same
the Prime code thing is a good point tho
