Imho Facebook has entered Nokia territory. Their core products are losing market share, their innovative products (Oculus) are lacking a killer app.

What did Facebook do to innovate on the Oculus? Oculus Rift was amazing before they sold.
sparkbII commented on 'Jeopardy ' announces Mayim Bialik, Ken Jennings as official co-hosts   foxnews.com/entertainment... · Posted by u/theduder99

> "The fact is, we have so much ‘Jeopardy!’ to make, and so many plans for the future, that we always knew we would need multiple hosts for the franchise, and we are just so grateful that Mayim and Ken stepped in and stepped up to put the show in a position to succeed," Davies said in the official announcement. "And succeed it has."

That is an obvious lie, considering their original choice in Mike Richards was forced out after one day of production. It's okay to admit they are doing this to bring in a more diverse viewership, and that Mayim is better long term for the health of the Jeopardy!™ brand. They are getting more viewers than ever.

Surely a network executive would never lie about motive?

That would assume that nest and ring cameras are even capable of making out license plates. They're all crappy sensors with horrible night vision.

Why would you stop at the first model once you are already in the ecosystem? People upgrade their devices all the time.

I don't think I agree with their definition of external causes. Getting caught in a lawn mower or a death due to your own driving isn't an external cause in the same way that homicide is.

However, one scenario would have you operating heavy machinery more often.

sparkbII commented on How do we know when a recession has begun?   apnews.com/article/inflat... · Posted by u/DantesKite

> The definition of recession that is most widely accepted is the one determined by the blandly named National Bureau of Economic Research, a nonprofit group of economists whose Business Cycle Dating Committee defines a recession as “a significant decline in economic activity that is spread across the economy and lasts more than a few months.”

We are about a few months in now.
