Another great example of LLM hype train re-inventing something that already existed [1] (and was actually thought out) but making it worse and non-deterministic in the worst ways possible.

And that would be great, if anyone used it.

LLMs are specifically good at a task like this because they can extract content from any webpage, regardless of it supports whatever standard that no one implements

You can write a 180 characters post\tweet\toot even when there is virtually no limitation.

I think this is what was asked by a parent commenter: why enforce any limit (except for a sane ones) at all?

IMO it makes for better content. I'm not logging in to a microblogging app so I can read thoughtful, longform content, actually it's exactly the opposite.

By enforcing a character limit you only allow a certain type of post to be made

Rely on what that couldn't be better served by $1 coins?

Coins are simply worse than bills. They're too thick for something you'd be keeping mainly in your wallet or pocket.

Anyone tried to build it from sources, I bet what would kill this editor in the end is slow rust build time and complexity of language.
soap- · 2 years ago
Why would that kill it? Have you ever tried to compile a browser?

Nice idea and naming, I love concrete and brutalism.

I miss some concrete texture, could be easily done with SVG filters. Also, concrete is gray, but this is black and white, I'm not really sure that fits the theme perfectly. Maybe a single modifier class on the body would make sense.

Edit: I see that it detects my OS dark theme, but the site could help me compare with the normal mode.

You can change your preferred color scheme temporarily in dev tools

I believe it's called concrete because of brutalist architecture and how it's almost always made with concrete
