Significant whitespace is a dealbreaker for me. I never tried Nim for this reason

Spaces don't copy n paste well and are hard to read/navigate

it doesn't appear to truly be zero cost if you log variables that can't be eliminated. The only way (I believe) to implement zero cost is some type of macro system which go does not support.

can someone explain what is happening to firefox for posts like this to exist?

I use firefox daily and while i'm aware of market share dropping, it's still a reasonable browser to use.

Is it just speculation now on the future of firefox?

the features worth mentioning imho are the different storage backends and their features. Using btrfs, lvm or zfs there is some level of support of thin copy provisioning and snapshotting. I believe btrfs/zfs have parity in terms of supported operations. Cheap snapshots and provisioning of both containers and VMs using the same tool is pretty awesome.

I personally use lxd for running my homelab VMs and containers

i'm not sure the point here, you can carry along information in errors at API boundaries and collect the info when you emit a log line. Using built in errors.Wrapf and slog, you get everything you need already.

The community edition will also only see security updates, if any, moving forward.

The fact minio is being so silent is questioning what's really going on here

please provide a source

latest versions of minio has had the admin console removed entirely and all that exists is a simple object browser that shows buckets and objects.

No longer do you have the ability to manage the cluster. Key things like users, groups, replication, policy, etc.

As I have recently began adopting minio in a more serious use case, getting features ripped out without notification is pretty harsh.

Obviously minio is free to do what they wish but it definitely makes me reconsider adoption of their technology.

Removal of features with no notification or explanation is really hurting the product and companys reputation. What says they dont break replication or enforce limits on cluster size or drive next?

What are other peoples thoughts?
