It is clear that a lot of things: programming languages, websites and others will have to be adapted to be easier to use for LLMs. Now they are optimized for humans, but I think very soon they will be optimized for LLMs instead.

Yeah, in fact the website says "Try it in Gemini" and I'm not sure if I'm already trying it or not - if I choose Gemini 2.5 Flash in the regular Gemini UI, I'm using this?
sega_sai · 16 hours ago
I think not. Because at least in the aistudio there is a dedicated gemini-2.5-flash-image-preview model. So I am assuming it is not available in the standard gemini chat window.

I am sure people here will disagree with me, but I do not think that the 250M$ packages makes sense. In my opinion nobody is is worth 1000s times more the other people in the same field. A way to deal with this is through the tax system that would make it economically inefficient to have insane pay packages. Obviously that will not happen (especially in the US).

US vandalism continues. And that is truly vandalism in the sense of bunch of barbarians coming and destroying what they have little clue about.

It is instructive that we are seeing the results of DOGE's work:

"The process took six hours Saturday night — much longer than it otherwise would have, because the threat-intelligence and incident-response teams have been cut by 65 percent as CISA slashed funding, Rose said."

While the US needs to get spending under control, the cuts to science sting.

A $1B cut for ΛCDM seems pragmatic as long as we focus on the economy. The cosmic background will still be waiting for us in four to ten years.

Unfortunately, it feels like the budget cuts being made are incredibly partisan and not actually helping pay down the debt spiral. Especially when the deficit is increasing.

Everything needs to be cut back, not just things one party doesn't care for.

What 'spending under control' you are talking about, when the recent big bill massively increased the deficit.

Who needs science, when you can have tax cuts for the rich ?
