I tried to play this game once and sucked at it. There are people out there who are legitimately good at this, and that's awesome to see for an open source game

I know what you mean, biggest gripe I have with this game is how important it is to play the meta and boom early if you want to win at anything other than easy mode.

"Agents should work overnight, on commutes, in meetings, asynchronously."

If I read stuff like that, I wonder what the F they are doing. Agents work overnight? On what? Stuck in some loop, trying to figure out how to solve a bug by trial and error because the agent isn't capable of finding the right solution? Nothing good will come out of that. When the agent clearly isn't capable of solving an issue in a reasonable amount of time, it needs help. Quite often, a hint is enough. That, of course, requires the developer to still understand what the agent is doing. Otherwise, most likely, it will sooner or later do something stupid to "solve" the issue. And later, you need to clean up that mess.

If your prompt is good and the agent is capable of implementing it correctly, it will be done in 10 minutes or less. If not, you still need to step in.

To be fair, for major features 30m to an hour isn’t out of this world. Browser testing is critical at this point but it _really_ slows down the AI in the last 15% of the process.

I can see overnight for a prototype of a completely new project with a detailed SPEC.md and a project requirements file that it eats up as it goes.

Very cryptic; what are you actually saying here?

Poster is not from the US and has no interest in relocating due to the current political situation. This is a common sentiment among non-US but western professionals right now. Had the location been different, they probably would have been interested.

It's difficult for me to reconcile her grief at the loss of her mother with the horrific abuse her parents inflicted on her. (Mostly her father, to be fair, but with the full knowledge and consent of her mother.)

I think it’s very typical of post-rat and thus Aella that these things can exist at the same time and don’t invalidate or negate each other.

I’ve been using Warp (for the AI features) for a while now, but less and less these days. They’re way too agile with the UI/UX, things change around too much for it to be what it is supposed to be.
rutierut commented on Ask HN: What's a good 3D Printer for sub $1000?    · Posted by u/lucideng

The first part of your post sounds almost like an ad for the Bambu Lab P1S. The second part sounds more like the Prusa CORE One kit (build volume is not a perfect match).

I really wouldn't bother buying anything else as a beginner. Pick between these two.

It's a weird thing in 3D printing right now that if you don't have the open source stuff as a requirement you get better print quality and reliability for half the price with Bambu Lab.

I really like Trigger but I would have loved some way to trigger it from the FE, it was a small part of our use case but it sucked having to implement a proxy for it.
