Well, I'm sure they'd prefer being upset over being dead... although the likelihood of successfully rolling over and flying a negative-g recovery in a transport airplane seem dubious at best. Transport category airplanes are only certified to -1G so an inverted pullout would definitely exceed those limits.

I don't understand how a person can look at the 1.7M pricetag for a medallion and think they can survive against all the shady, entrenched middlemen and bankers?

These characters are straight out of the Wolf of Wall Street.

No mouse discussion would be complete without mention of the greatest mouse ever made, the Logitech MX Revolution. Logitech would truly outshine themselves if they merged the MX Revolution and the G602.
rqqt · 7 years ago
MX518 was popular also, right?!

(They actually re-released it recently)

You're bound to find something that suits you in the Zowie range. They make eight mice, all with identical features, all with perfect sensors and all based on subtle variations of the Intellimouse shapes.

The Logitech G Pro Wireless might also be a good choice.

You want to look at the "EC" series. There's 2 sizes and a 2nd generation just came out.

The MAD doctrine actually collapsed at the end of the Cold War, that's why they decided to sign the INF treaty (and also reduce nuclear arsenals): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermediate-Range_Nuclear_For...

IMHO the MAD is still the status quo as of right now.

It kept the peace for 50+ years. (Excluding all the "little" wars.)

This doesn't work by the way, but they really did try it.

Inevitably something goes wrong, delaying a train, and then it's dangerous because the timetable says it's clear ahead of you but it isn't.

Eventually the absolute block system was invented. You track where a train actually is, and don't allow more than one train to be in a "block" of track. But that took a whole bunch more technology and a whole lot more deaths to invent.

They solved this a LONG time ago!

"In the UK, the Regulation of Railways Act 1889 introduced a series of requirements on matters such as the implementation of interlocked block signalling and other safety measures as a direct result of the Armagh rail disaster in that year."

Given that the existing terminals for Windows range from archaic (Console, PowerShell) to mediocre (ConEmu, Cmder), this move makes total sense.

I’m excited to use the new terminal with WSL2 - maybe it will come close to iTerm2 with Docker.

rqqt · 7 years ago
BTW Cmder IS ConEmu. Specifically it's CE set up with Git and Clink which is command completition.

Last time I checked ConEmu still lacked horizontal scrolling, so it looks ugly when the text gets word wrapped.

Given the embracing of other platgforms, and the convergance aspect of one .NET to rule them all. WHy they didn't rebrand it is a mistake they will probably end up doing if they want to pull in dev's on other platforms. Many who's exposure to .NET will be of a legacy flavour and maybe left a sour taste. A taste that will stick with them upon anything .NET.

I'd vote for .ONE, one API to rule them all.

Though convoluted does sell books, I'm sure we will see a title "When is .NET not .NET" soon.

.ONE

Yeah, that's easy to search for!

That is my biggest complaint. Only the Firefox Linux team of included a about:config option to turn it off. Android, Windows and mac have no way to do so. It's still broken on my phone. Wtf were they thinking?
rqqt · 7 years ago
Try

xpinstall.signatures.required

Works on Fennec version of Firefox.

Also IceCat version of Firefox wasn't affected AFAIK.
