The Obama administration sent the IRS after conservative organizations.

This was also bad, and was criticized by Dem members of Congress along with the mainstream media, and led to the IRS Commissioner's resignation. Hopefully Bondi will too.

What does this ban actually mean?

As I understand it, it bans kids from creating an account. They can still doom scroll or waste their life watching reels without a login, don't they?

This may push social media back to making their content accessible without an account :)

At least for Twitch that means they can't give money to streamers making a small country's GDP a month.

If you're going to engage in satire, its best the satire be obvious.

I believe there are capitalist economist types who believe what Summers wrote unironically.

Let's not forget that time he advocated for dumping toxic waste in poor countries.

"I think the economic logic behind dumping a load of toxic waste in the lowest wage country is impeccable and we should face up to that."

I remember a story a couple of weeks ago, or perhaps earlier this year about the lead-up to the NSDAP takeover of the German government in the mid 1900:s. It was something about just overwhelming people with pointless crisis and issues to keep you busy and preoccupied both physically and mentally so not to notice the truly bad things going when the democratic state was eroding.

This seems like one such thing, it's a ploy for the public, it distracts from other things, it takes space away from other thing in the news, it ties up courts and others.

I think it's revealing of how diminished the la costa nostra is. This is such trivial work and, yet, this was a multi-family operation.

It's hilarious to US CS items/weapons as a retirement portfolio when you could get pretty damn good and government protected monopoly by buying NFA machine guns knowing the number is capped and the price is likely to only go up. These are now being used by actual retirement funds.
