I think you have it exactly backwards, and that "owning the stack" is going to be important. Yes the harness is important, yes the model is important, but developing the harness and model together is going to pay huge dividends.

These kinds of prompts don’t really improve the writing IME. It still gets riddled with the same tropes and phrases, or it veers off into textual vomit.

Based on their Terms of Service, we are not allowed to use a Claude Code subscription outside of Claude Code itself. Although it may work with tools like pi or other harnesses, doing so puts your account at risk of being banned.

Claude Code is not developer friendly.

Given how Anthropic changes Claude Code and forces everyone with a subscription to use it (if you pay much more with the API you can avoid it). I think it's fair to say that Claude Code is not an asset but a liability.

I wish open source projects would support MingW or at least not actively blocking it's usage. It's a good compiler that provides an excellent compatibility without the need of any extra runtime DLLs.

I don't understand how open source projects can insist on requiring a proprietary compiler.

Agreed I also like to see more support for MingW especially from open source projects. Not even a passing mention in this blog post.

I think the only advantage that closed models have are the tools around them (claude code and codex). At this point if forced I could totally live with open models only if needed.

It's the most commented issue on their GitHub and it's basically ignored by Anthropic. Title mentions Max, but commenters report it for other plans too.
