So they're optimizing for 1080p or 4k?

No settings to adjust?

phcreery · a month ago
optimized for HiDPI screens (like those on Apple devices)

I know this is silly but the biggest thing that’s driving me away from it is how god awfully blurry it looks on my 1440p screen :/

This is also a big issue for me and has one of the largets issues for a while. [1] I wish there was font hinting to the like of windows font rendering.

Hey, some feedback on those 1/24 holes that fill through scrolling. They're not matched with the steps of the scrollwheel. It seems like a step fills 1.2 holes. It pauses the animation of your demonstration between your points. Checked both Chromium and Firefox. Also checked my mouse events, and a single step matches with a single event.

I also notice this. Maybe it was not intended to "snap" on animation checkpoints though. Scrolling with a touch scroll or mouse middle-click-and-drag is pretty smooth.

I assume this was in response to Elons claim of finding a number of people aged 150 years old and the response that this was due to COBOL default date and how this was an example of the people doing the datamining were incompetent.

Someone would have to be really incompetent to find a spike at precisely 150 years old and not investigate it further. Elon tweeted ~ 10 hours ago the age breakdown and there does not appear to be a spike at 150 so if that information is correct then this is no longer evidence of incompetence.

Additionally, the data is comparable to the census [1] which suggests there is not a lack of data context or translation from DB date format to actual date/age.

Then again, these are just posts of screenshots on a site filled with AI-generated content.

Hmmm, but can you use it to set up an actual AirTag without having another apple device like iPhone or Mac?

I pay for WiFi on long-haul flights because I am bit scared of flying and it keeps me distracted and connected to the world and friends and relatives (maybe I am scared because I feel isolated?).

Anyway, on my last flight I tried WiFi Hotspot and I was able to give WiFi to my girlfriend and dad, just paying for one account on my device. It isn't free but at least it allows everyone on my party to be connected.

WiFi-to-WiFi hotspot is a good idea, I don't think all phones can do that though. I once used my rooted Android to spoof my Wifes MAC address to use her in-flight WiFi she paid for after she was not using it anymore.

I know nothing about the Cola recipe, but this fork seems to change some things up [1]. README says it is from "This American Life" [2] but it looks like it is closer to that of colawp.com [3].

'TAL' calls for FE Coca, Alcohol, and Vanilla but 'colawp' does not.

I think it found an infinity money gltich. I held a 2 of hearts and a 3 of clubs on the far left and far right and it glitched out and did not give me 3 cards. Instead it gave me 3 black boxes, a royal flush and says I won "$"aHROcHM6Ly".... Now my cash keeps counting up, it is at over $2,000 now.

I am interested in the airtable inventory system. Anyone else got good experience with airtable?
phcreery · 3 years ago
Me too! I have never used airtable before but have heard of it. I needed an inventory system but I wasn't satisfied with the options I found so I created my own. Right now it is rudimentary but it can import BoM, export to CSV, "build" BoM's (auto-deduct from inventory), octopart API integration for grabbing component info/specs, and all of this compiled to single binary for lightweight selfhosting.
