Can you please stop posting like this? You've done it repeatedly, it's against the site guidelines, and it's destructive of the curious conversation we're trying for here.

If you'd please review https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and stick to the rules when posting here, we'd appreciate it. Note these ones:

"Please don't fulminate."

"Don't be curmudgeonly. Thoughtful criticism is fine, but please don't be rigidly or generically negative."

"Please don't post shallow dismissals, especially of other people's work. A good critical comment teaches us something."

https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html

Edit: your account has unfortunately been breaking the site guidelines a lot in other threads as well. We ban such accounts, so if you'd please fix this, we'd appreciate it.

That’s ok Dang. I’d rather not post considering the quality of other people’s posts which claim ridiculous statements with no proof which you seem to allow or even outright misinformation. Asking for evidence is deemed site breaking? Ok. I’m not sure I’d want to be part of a community which allows so much misinformation and outright nonsense. This use to be a site where rational thoughts use to exist but doesn’t anymore and this thread and your focus on my comments seems to show otherwise. Feel free to ban me if that’s going to fix this site. I’m sure discourse will normalize and the misinformation will disappear.

It’s unbelievable right? I’m flabbergasted that there are engineers like this shipping code.

I would not call it vibe coding. But I do not check all changed lines of code either.

In my opinion, and this is really my opinion, in the age of coding with AI, code review is changing as well. If you speed up how much code can be produced, you need to speed up code review accordingly.

I use automated tools most of the time AND I do very thorough manual testing. I am thinking about a more sophisticated testing setup, including integration tests via using a headless browser. It definitely is a field where tooling needs to catch up.

> These are seemingly smart people.

They _are_ smart people. There's more to the differences in perspective than "lib smart, maga stupid".

If your intelligent in your work, but completely retarded when it comes to society , information gathering and independent thinking rather than regurgiate whatever your oranged tanned cheeto says, then no, your not smart. You just have been able to condition your brain to do something over and over again. Intelligence and smartness isnt about doing one thing well.

So you believe a known liar but it's impossible for you to believe that trump has ties to russia? the guy who has invested in russian real estate? the guy who went to russia many many times before he even became president?

it's hard for you to believe that the guy who did all those things and asked Russia on live TV for dig up dirt on Hillary is colluding with russia?

The cult is strong it seems.
