Given AustralianSuper is, as its name makes pretty clear, a superannuation fund, I applaud any risk management which protects the retirement savings of their members.

Largely, no.

AI would need to 1. perform better than a person in a particular role, and 2. do so cheaper than their total cost, and 3. do so with fewer mistakes and reduced liability.

Humans are objectively quite cheap. In fact for the output of a single human, we're the cheapest we've ever been in history (particularly in relation to the cost of the investment in AI and the kind of roles AI would be 'replacing.')

If there is any economic shifts, it will be increases in per person efficiency, requiring a smaller workforce. I don't see that changing significantly in the next 5-10 years.

Not that we should, but it's technically feasible to have a music streaming server with the torrent as the backend, and selectively download the part of the torrent in respond to on-demand streaming request from the client.

Every time I stumble upon this I end up losing an hour.

The Rare era Nintendo 64 games are particularly interesting from a graphical stand-point, as Rare really got the most out of the N64's limited texture cache by blending textures with vertex colours.

In Banjo-Kazooie its mostly for used as a primitive baked-lighting (Mad Monster Mansion being a great example of this.) But by the time you get to DK64, they're really working overtime to leverage vertex colours to add variety to the textures and help blend texture edges.

People refer to N64's blurry textures as its signature look, but I think what Rare did with vertex colours is really what most people think when they remember back to the N64.

(Would love to see GoldenEye or Perfect Dark maps added to this site.)

Performance is remarkably stable for a game running in a browser.

- Jon Richelieu-Booth for posting a picture of himself with a gun in the US

- Jordan Parlour for Facebook posts that were deemed ‘hateful.’

- Bernadette Spofforth for a post with a “mild inaccuracy”

- Maxie Allen and Rosalind Levine, after raising concerns in a private parents’ WhatsApp group about the hiring process of their daughter’s school

- Lucy Connolly, for a post calling for mass deportation and to set fire to hotels housing immigrants

- Norbert Gyurcsik, for having “extreme right wing music”

Germany, you too.

I mean, a quick search of all of these people, and you can find something which absolutely warranted police investigation. That's the police doing what they're meant to do — investigate and ensure public safety.

- Jon Richelieu-Booth was investigated for stalking and making threats. The gun photo was not part of the police investigation.

- Jordan Parlour was charged for suggesting attacking hotels housing asylum seekers.

- Bernadette Spofforth was investigated for distributing misinformation with the intent to incite violence.

- Lucy Connolly for exactly what you say, inciting violence

- Norbert Gyurcsik had and was selling terrorist materials. (Just because you pair something illegal in a melody doesn't change its content...)

(With the exception of Maxie Allen and Rosalind Levine, which was an unlawful arrest and they were had restitution for it.)

You are allowed to say it. Unlike UK, you won’t be arrested. But you won’t be allowed in.

Besides, why would you want to come if you don’t like it here?

Who is being arrested in the UK?

I visited in June 2025, roadtrip down the West coast. I was somewhat concerned about immigration, but surprised we were able to use the Mobile Passport Control app and utilise the fast-line to skip a 3~ hour immigration queue.

I was surprised at how few international tourists there were. I had read about a decline, but everywhere we went felt quite empty...

Those values being the proliferation of AI, YouTube's settlement to Trump, unbanning of conspiracy theory and hate-speech creators popular amongst Trump's base, and a moral complaint about AI age-checking, and censorship (particularly around the most recent Israel-Gaza conflict.)
