Performance is remarkably stable for a game running in a browser.

- Jon Richelieu-Booth for posting a picture of himself with a gun in the US

- Jordan Parlour for Facebook posts that were deemed ‘hateful.’

- Bernadette Spofforth for a post with a “mild inaccuracy”

- Maxie Allen and Rosalind Levine, after raising concerns in a private parents’ WhatsApp group about the hiring process of their daughter’s school

- Lucy Connolly, for a post calling for mass deportation and to set fire to hotels housing immigrants

- Norbert Gyurcsik, for having “extreme right wing music”

Germany, you too.

I mean, a quick search of all of these people, and you can find something which absolutely warranted police investigation. That's the police doing what they're meant to do — investigate and ensure public safety.

- Jon Richelieu-Booth was investigated for stalking and making threats. The gun photo was not part of the police investigation.

- Jordan Parlour was charged for suggesting attacking hotels housing asylum seekers.

- Bernadette Spofforth was investigated for distributing misinformation with the intent to incite violence.

- Lucy Connolly for exactly what you say, inciting violence

- Norbert Gyurcsik had and was selling terrorist materials. (Just because you pair something illegal in a melody doesn't change its content...)

(With the exception of Maxie Allen and Rosalind Levine, which was an unlawful arrest and they were had restitution for it.)

You are allowed to say it. Unlike UK, you won’t be arrested. But you won’t be allowed in.

Besides, why would you want to come if you don’t like it here?

Who is being arrested in the UK?

I visited in June 2025, roadtrip down the West coast. I was somewhat concerned about immigration, but surprised we were able to use the Mobile Passport Control app and utilise the fast-line to skip a 3~ hour immigration queue.

I was surprised at how few international tourists there were. I had read about a decline, but everywhere we went felt quite empty...

Those values being the proliferation of AI, YouTube's settlement to Trump, unbanning of conspiracy theory and hate-speech creators popular amongst Trump's base, and a moral complaint about AI age-checking, and censorship (particularly around the most recent Israel-Gaza conflict.)

I normally agree, but in this case the three companies in question aren't refusing to sell, they're threatening to sue if someone does anything with something that they have no idea if they even have rights to.

If nobody has the de facto rights, them there's nobody to steal it from.

"Not knowing if you own the IP" doesn't mean "you don't own the IP." Doesn't change the theft. But does make a argument that companies, with no interest in selling a media, should think about giving it away.

> In portfolio theory, perfect correlation is fatal—when every asset moves together, the slightest shock ruins everything. Resilience comes from diversification: a spread of unaligned bets. Intellectual life works the same way. When all our convictions depend on the same assumptions, a single surprise unravels the whole.

An interesting perspective on resilience.

As someone with hours of time in Factorio pre-space age update, I've really struggled to get back into the game. I really want to build out a mega base with the new train logic, but every time I try to get into it it just feels like work. Space age seems like it had a pretty lukewarm reception, and some of the tech tree changes seem like artificial padding (cliff explosives).
nness · a month ago
That was my first impression when I picked it up -- the game strongly suggests you start from the start, and re-loading a pre-Space Age save will result in many things breaking. I gave in and started over, worried I'd need to spend dozens of hours just building up to where I was before.

But this wasn't the case — Space Age isn't only new content, but a complete re-balance of the original game. It is far far less grindy and requires much less baby-sitting of production.

Your first space platform, the ships, and the planets, are best thought of as unique Factorio-inspired puzzles. Each planet is like a Factorio game-mode to solve, with its own restrictions to design around.

I think those who have hundreds of hours in the base-game have to un-learn of the base game to pick up the DLC. Many of the complaints are pointed at the tech tree changes — they wanted an expansion on what was there, not a recreation. But for me now, I wouldn't recommend Factorio without Space Age.
