No. More. Subscriptions. FML. I'm so done with them. And with expensive gadgets that score notoriously poorly for repairability. I switched to a cheap android and haven't looked back.

Ah, man, I feel for you. It has been years since my grandmother passed, but I still sometimes wake up screaming at night. This kind of thing would be torture for me. I avoid all things big tech - but the dates of the events themselves are still emblazoned in my mind. I hope some day we are both able to look back and just remember they loved us and we loved them... Until then, stay strong. I hope the saying "time heals all wounds" is accurate... Because I haven't seen it as of yet.
In my Sonicare, the brush heads have an NFC chip in them that stores the “runtime”. After xx uses an icon starts blinking on the handle and the app will tell you that the brush head needs to be replaced. But at least you’re free to ignore that and continue using it.
For now... Just wait, some bright-eyed underling will undoubtedly see this comment and then pitch their boss: "Man, oh man! I know how we can increase revenue, let's DISABLE brush heads when they hit 90 days and FORCE the user to buy a new one!" You've just doomed us all. >.< hah!

Do I NEED to shower every day? Yes, I do. Hell, I could probably stand to take two showers a day. I'm hairy - VERY hairy - and I have a robust, musky odor that left unchecked quickly gets a bit too pungent, especially if I'm stress sweating. My fiancé claims to love it, but I'm always afraid others might think I stink. The second I can smell myself, I'm showering! I don't care how many times a day that happens to be.
