We've banned this account for egregiously breaking the site guidelines, and ignoring our requests to stop.

I don't want to ban you, because you've also posted good comments, but even though we cut people slack for a long time (years, in some cases), it's not infinite. We can't allow people to flout the rules like this forever.

I warned you about exactly this a few months ago (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33187599) and you've continued to do it in multiple places (e.g. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34554221). That's abusive and seriously not cool.

If you don't want to be banned, you're welcome to email hn@ycombinator.com and give us reason to believe that you'll follow the rules in the future.

Shame on you for supporting the clowns. Their anti-rational, anti health measures claims are detrimental to your site and your society. Protecting them from even mild criticism is clown moderation. Shame!

HSBC exists because of Opium. It has always been the bank of the drug cartels.

> HSBC was founded after the second of the Opium Wars, by which time the trade was already well established. The founders included several opium traders who recognised the profitable banking opportunities presented by the new market.

They’ve been in the thick of it since forever, unrelentingly.

Do you make the CEO responsible even though she probably had no idea that this was going on?

You send the CEO to prison because they're responsible for what happens under them. CEOs always say they get paid so much because they're the ones bearing ultimate responsibility, so off to jail you go.

ChatGpT does not know anything. It vomits words that are statistically likely to convey meaning, but there is no guarantee that it is truthful: it is always a probability, not a certainty.

what are you exactly saying?

These AIs tell lies. Do not believe them with blind faith. If they say something true and valuable, it is not because they know something. They don’t have knowledge: they have word vomit that is statistically likely to have meaning.
