OP lost me when he said the edges of his Mac were “painfully sharp”…

You know, I there aren't many celebrities, especially in tech, that I think "It would be cool to have a beer with them". Not Gates, not Jobs, probably not Musk. But Woz seems like a cool guy with great stories to tell.

Lmao at that probably
martinky24 commented on So You Bought a Fancy Vintage Car. Now Who's Going to Restore It?   bloomberg.com/news/featur... · Posted by u/toomuchtodo

There's a great car restoration business near us. The sole proprietor is in his late 70s and refuses to take on any apprentice. Says he refuses to train his competition. Sad that all those years of experience and skill will go to waste.
martinky24 · 13 days ago
“Go to waste” is such a weird way to think about a 5 decade career.

2-3 years for earphones are a good metric? My Sony WH-1000X M3 are now almost 6 years old and still work perfectly (just replaced the pads once last year)

The article is specifically (in the first sentence) about wireless earbuds. Comparing AirPods to traditional over-the-ear headphones is like comparing the longevity of a smartphone to that of a laptop.

“Fingerprinting has always been a concern in the privacy community, but until now, we had no hard proof that it was actually being used to track users,”

Huh? In 2025?? Fingerprinting has been around and actively used to track users for probably at least 20 years.

They said "hard proof". Can you point to openly available "hard proof"? Otherwise your reply is just snark that doesn't add much.

Corey thinks everyone still lives in the cloud because that’s the world he lives in - one where everyone lives in the clouds. That’s his business - clouds.
martinky24 · 2 months ago
Did you read the article? He pretty plainly talks about smart companies who did the analysis and never moved to the cloud in it.

Why do people use Conda instead of uv?
martinky24 · 3 months ago
Because conda has been around for years and uv is more or less brand new. It's pretty much as simple as that.

They quite literally say this explicitly in the first few paragraphs. No need to guess.

Hit pieces on anti-vaxxers I guess. I don't see the problem.
