On a whim, I bought a pack of playing cards at the supermarket. Now I'm learning how to play card games.

The card maker has its own web site with the rules for playing all kinds of card games, and it's filterable by number of players, including many games for one person.

What's the name of the game?

I was in awe of a friend using vim, I asked him how someone could possess that power, he promptly gave me a license of https://vim-adventures.com/ and now I can't use any other editor that at least have a vim plugin.

Give the game a go, totally worth it if you want to ease into learning vim, after some time try and use it for everything, even if it fells slow, persist and it will be worth it.

This may be good advice for an instruction manual or children's books, but I think good prose is something of an art in and of itself. Some of the most successful writers do the opposite. Look at the articles that go viral ..you see that the prose is varied and even complicated, not just simple.

The best prose is that which conveys the intended message for the intended audience in the best way possible. I think it's also a revealed vs stated preferences problem. People state they want/like simple writing but revealed preferences show otherwise.

I think the reason why so many business authors give this advice is confusing cause and effect. Writing simply does not make you successful or persuasive, but that people who are involved in business write that way naturally, but success at one does not follow from the other. Just like Bill Gates did not get rich by being good at bridge.

If you are aiming for virality, you need to use the lowest common denominator. A fast thinker will understand someone that speaks slow, a slow thinker will not grasp everything a person who speaks fast says.

Really well done the design is beautiful, but to be really useful you need to easily find a way to display the information like this table [1]. I felt like i had to keep moving the bar and I could not quickly get the best time needed.

I love the rugged design of ubco, and I believe they are working on making a legal street version of it.

edit:

they already do have an on-road version of it :) https://ubco.co.nz/pages/rv

If "you" want to emphasize action(verb) and/or object more than the actor(subject) then use passive. Words are just tools, have them in your repertoire, understand all the rules so you can break them, poetic license is an art.

This product has a monthly subscription.

The nibs also run out, and life time supply only lasts as long as the company supports them.

YMMV. I have wifi pretty much disabled, only enabling for updates, I disabled when they told me that there was no encryption at rest. I am not sure how much you write, but for the last year I have changed my nib twice, so that does not really bother me. The thing is hackable and you can do whatever you need with it. https://github.com/reHackable/awesome-reMarkable
