I just hope they don't stop to offer the papers in PDF. Even when I'm on a computer, I still prefer to read PDFs.

This would be a move on the right direction, but

>This framework improves reliability and performance by moving customization from the Win32 framework to the UWP software development framework.

I can't trust Microsoft to do anything right anymore.

The crazy thing is that Disney -> Pixar was also pretty much a reverse acquisition, so Steve was involved in 2 of those. At the time of acquisition his wife was the largest Disney shareholder, so she had more shares than anyone in the Disney family

Seems like Pixar is doing well and Disney is taking influence from them

Pixar movies had an artistic downfall after the Disney acquisition. But sure they are doing fine financially-wise and technology-wise.

On the other hand, Casey's been working on Handmade Hero for almost a decade, and has what amounts to an overengineered debug room with less actual gameplay complexity than you'd find in any framework tutorial. Meanwhile actual game developers would pick up a framework, use all those abstractions and libraries Casey finds unnecessary and surpass Handmade Hero in an afternoon.

There's something to be said for not wasting time on things that don't matter to anyone but yourself, and code aesthetics is often one of those things.
