I wonder if Steam will finally implement multi-user sign on for local multiplayer games (like all true consoles).

It's something that doesn't get headlines, but a real barrier for enjoyment for a console-like PC. Hate being stuck with 'guest 1' and 'guest 2' or whatever. Many games want each player to progress and without true multi sign on, it just doesn't work. Hence games dropping local multiplayer on PC.

Is this a fork of something? Or recently open sourced? Looks like there is a single commit where a majority of the code came from.

They were originally working on a MS teams replacement, with a bunch of things in one app like teams. (I tried it back then, it was pretty green). Now it looks like they are focused on drive, chat and email. The old app seems deprecated, so I presume they forked it into some of this new stuff.

There need to be more companies solving this from first principles like Yuzu Health.

They have a cool blog at https://yuzu.health/blog that gets into the dynamics of this stuff. Legacy insurance is cooked.

These sorts of projects always seem to end up with the worst doctors. At the end of the day, seeing a good doctor is all the patient wants.

> Franz von Holzhausen, Tesla’s longtime design chief, said the company is looking to combine the electronic and manual door-release mechanisms, which are currently in separate locations.

I never understood this. I get that the electronic release is "cool" or something, but it never made any sense to me that it wasn't integrated with or connected to a manual release.

I think I can follow this artikel, but am unsure. Are these mortgages backed by the underlying real estate?

“ Among the newly delinquent multifamily mortgages was the $62 million mortgage on Park West Village in Manhattan. The 4.65% fixed-rate mortgage on the 850-unit property, built in 1950 and renovated in 2014, was originated in August 2022. In August 2025, it became 30 days delinquent.”

62 million / 850 = 80k per unit. Seems easy to cover?

What is the alternative, ask them not to tell?

If you had to make the decision in the moment how would you weigh compromising the chance to prevent thousands or millions of deaths for advanced warning of nuclear or other attack using your ability to install that monitoring equipment now or in future, versus the lives of potentially hostile people who show up in your mission area?

You have to live with the moral cost, and human conflict means these choices have to be made.

> What is the alternative, ask them not to tell?

The moment the seals fired the rifles the mission was over, a complete failure.

So the obvious alternative was to abort without killing everyone. The vaunted seals can't escape from a fishing boat? Nothing was accomplished by this mission other than killing a bunch of fishermen. For shame.

The x.com post was always a little vague to me. I would be interested if we got more background on this.

This is great. My tip: don’t spend money on LSAT prep (unless you have no impulse control and can’t learn from a book). Just take practice tests, and when you get an answer wrong, carefully articulate exactly why each of the wrong answers was wrong and the right answer was correct. At least when I took it (17 years ago now) there was always a clearly right answer and three clearly wrong answers. I’ve never seen a single LSAT where that wasn’t the case. During the test you should be able to not only identify the correct answer, but articulate in your head why each other answer is clearly wrong.

Completely agree. Iny experience commercial prep was not of the same quality and the actual LSAT questions and doing actual true historical LSAT practice tests was cheap and effective.

Did you actually read the article? Because I did.

The case was well reported in media and they basically all agree that it’s a symptom of systemic racism against Indigenous people in Canada. The hospital staff thought she was on welfare based on her ethnicity in this case, or straight out “bet” on the patient’s blood level in another case in BC the same year. She would have got the same treatment even if she spoke French.

> If you think racism in Quebec doesn’t have a connection with language

Where have I said this? Not everything is about the language though.

keoneflick · 5 months ago
I am well read on this case.

> She would have got the same treatment even if she spoke French.

This is simply untrue and I would be happy to hear a source for your position. It happens to allophones and white presenting anglophones:

Feel free to have the last word. My last word is leaving Quebec and never coming back.
