Shameless plug of my language app, dangerous.

Our language app is largely based on using LLMs and spaced-repetition. We explain the context behind every word and phrase, provide additional usage examples and cultural notes, and also use speech recognition to test recall and pronunciation.

We're invite-only at the moment, but happy to pass along invite codes to anybody who may find it useful.

Thank you for sharing!

Your sign up flow might be broken. I tried creating an account (with my own email), received the confirmation email, but couldn't get my account to be verified. I get "Email not confirmed" when I try to log in.

Also, the verification email was sent from accounts@godealwise.com, which is a bit confusing.

Not completely what you are looking for, but still open source plans of house: Wikihouse https://www.wikihouse.cc/

Earthships are also said to be open source, but the plans are (definitely) not free https://earthshipbiotecture.com/

You can also check Open Source Home, by Studiolada (those are free, but the plans are in french) https://www.countryliving.com/remodeling-renovation/news/g46...

Open Source Ecology is now listing a house in their list of builds https://www.opensourceecology.org/extreme-build-of-the-seed-...

Open Building Institute is also promoting a configurable house https://www.openbuildinginstitute.org/

j0r0b0 commented on Tell HN: News sites may have a “lite” version for low-bandwidth users    · Posted by u/SamuelAdams

I've used those in the past, but have switched to the CBC text only site [0] being my go-to. I found it via a nice blog post talking about text-only news sites [1] which describes the CBC pages' advantages as follows:

"1) fast-loading; 2) a world news page; 3) high-quality: includes stories from Reuters and Associated Press; 4) uniquely, a button to allow to you load any individual images you wish to view; 5) links at bottom of page to equivalent page on full size; 6) sitemap; 7) an actual release notes page!"

Shameless plug: I made a French version of CBC Lite, with contents coming from Radio-Canada.ca[0]. It basically shares the same advantages, but the content is written in French and the build/content is refreshed every 30 minutes. It's built with Eleventy[1].

The project is called Radio-Canada Lite and it's over at https://rc-lite.xyz

I made Radio-Canada Lite - https://rc-lite.xyz - a static, text-only and low bandwidth version of Radio-Canada's news website (the news articles are in French and targeting Quebecers and French Canadians)

It’s built with Eleventy (https://11ty.dev), and fetches the news articles every 30 minutes from Radio-Canada’s public API.

There’s no ads, no trackers, no pictures. Simple HTML with CSS and a little bit of Javascript.
