I mean great, but there are 0 commits in 2026 Github for MySQL. I think pretty much everyone is planning a transition to MariaDB or Postgres.

MySQL is a beloved OSS product and project. Losing influence over that would be a massive mistake by Oracle.

Looks like it shares many characteristics with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)...

I just vacuumed up a bee hive that had taken residence in my siding. Just rigged up my shop vac at the entrance and left it on.

Bees or yellowjacket wasps? The first are pretty much "live and let live" the second turn into aggressive starving balls of winged hate in the late summer and early fall.

Bees make honey and pollinate - yellowjacket wasps may remove some pests from the environment, but otherwise bring pain and suffering to the unwary.

Spelling error "sttill"

> P.S. If you're sttill managing data in spreadsheets, this post isn't for you. Yet.

Since I discovered the ECS pattern, I've been curious about backing it with a database. One of the big issues seems to be IO on the database side. I wonder if Spiral might solve this issue.

Have a look at something like spacetimeDB - caveat, I've only read about it and not directly used it:

"Dumpster fire" is a idiomatic phrase in English/US, so may not be universal enough.

I'm not an American... but "bin fire" seems to be a thing too.

kinda mad guillotine got rejected, it concisely expresses a very popular sentiment

I'm more disappointed that "Dumpster Fire" hasn't made the grade four times.

Looks like it. Which is definitely a shame but I can understand they might not have all the APIs for all the locations

I take it this only works for USA locations?
